The Sleeper's Wrath and His Wife's Strike novel Chapter 10

When Lindsay heard the news, her expression barely changed. Since Althea wasn’t going to die, she figured she might as well keep playing her part.

She opened up the website for a home care agency, searching for a caregiver for Yves. Her standards for a male nurse were high—not only did he need to be attentive and skilled, but he also had to be able to hold his own in a fight if necessary.

This was her way of making sure Yves wouldn’t get bullied when she wasn’t around.

It didn’t take long before a particular candidate caught her eye.

Profile:

Horace Quinn. Male, 23, college graduate. Strengths: an excellent cook—and, apparently, could take on eight men at once and win.

Lindsay’s eyes lit up immediately. Good-looking and tough—a perfect combination. She called the agency that instant.

The manager told her to stop by that afternoon to sign the contract, and Horace could start right away.

After hanging up, Lindsay stretched lazily. Then she went to help Yves turn over in bed. Yesterday, she’d even bought a massage tool to help work his muscles and improve his circulation.

At first, everything was fine. But at some point, she noticed a certain reaction in Yves' lower half.

Lindsay froze, awkward and embarrassed. Was this normal? Did people in deep comas still… respond like that?

A bit flustered, she turned to an online medical consultation: Urgent! My comatose husband is having a reaction down there. Is this normal? What should I do?

The online doctor replied instantly: Perfectly normal. The right thing to do is to help the patient get release.

Release?

Lindsay’s fair cheeks went crimson in a flash, and she couldn’t stop all sorts of inappropriate images from flashing through her mind.

Since Yves couldn’t move, that would mean… she’d have to take the lead?
