hapter 310 The Truth Revealed
“If I can prove this video is real, then you’ll hand over ten percent of your shares in Jackman Enterprise to me–and you’ll stay away from Miranda for the rest of
your life.”
The video looked so unreal that Andrew was convinced it had to be fake.
With Miranda supporting him, he agreed right away. To make sure he couldn’t back out, Tracy even called in a lawyer to draft the contract on the spot.
Opportunities to push Andrew into betting the company didn’t come often, and Tracy wasn’t about to let it slip.
The next day, she lured Erin out with a short message. “Tom’s with me.”
Ever since the Cloudfall Tavern’s event, Erin had become a punching bag online. She was hated so much that she didn’t even dare leave the villa.
But with Tom involved, she had no choice but to come.
Inside the private room, Erin finally pulled off her hat and mask, pretending to act casual. “Why did you call me here?”
Tracy was done with her fake act and cut straight to the point. “There’s something I think you’ll want to see.”
She flipped her tablet around and hit play on the video.
Erin’s face changed instantly. She clearly knew about this recording.
And when the final scene showed her calling out the word “System“-she completely lost it. Erin shot up, slapped the tablet to the floor, and shouted,
“Fake! It’s all fake!”
If it were really fake, she wouldn’t be reacting this way.
Tracy’s smiled, calm and mocking. “So you really are some wandering spirit from another world, not the real Erin?”
Erin couldn’t meet her eyes. “I–I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Tracy pressed on. “To you, this world is just some book. And I’m supposed to be the heroine, right? But book or not, we’re real people. You killed your parents. You caused Grandpa’s and
1/3
Walter’s deaths. Don’t you ever fear their ghosts will come for you at night?”
“I’m not afraid!” Erin suddenly shouted. “You’re all just fictional characters without real lives. I’m the only one who matters! It’s your honor to make way for my success and wealth!” and wealthr
Her words were basically a confession the video was real.
Yet Erin didn’t look scared–she almost seemed proud. “So what if you know the truth? Who’s gonna believe you? With the system on my side, nobody can resist me. Tracy, you’re not the heroine anymore. Your luck is mine now. Norris, Matthew, even your family–they’re all on my side. What can you do?”
Compared to Erin’s hysterics, Tracy was incredibly calm.
She even found herself wondering–why did Erin mention Matthew?
She voiced her doubt.
Since it was already out, Erin no longer bothered to hide. “In this book, you’re the spoiled heroine. Norris is the male lead, and Matthew is the loyal second lead who’d die for you. But now? Your family is mine; the main lead is mine. The second lead, who worships you? Mine too. Even if you’re the real Jackman’s daughter, even if you know the truth–you’ll never beat me.”
Tracy’s lips curved in a cold, sarcastic smile.
She never wanted to compete with Erin.
Even after learning she was the true Jackman’s daughter, she had no desire to fight for their love.
She wasn’t a recycling bin. Anyone who had abandoned her once–she would never take back.
But Erin’s smug grin didn’t last long. Right as she was full of herself, the curtain beside them suddenly flew open with a loud swish.
