The Unwanted Daughter When Love Comes Too Late novel Chapter 323

Liam's face went pale as his own words came back to him.

He was the one who had given the orders, so he couldn't blame anyone else.

How heartbroken was Tracy to be treated like that the very moment she returned from the Angelic Etiquette Academy?

Liam wanted to slap himself, but he didn't.

"It can't be. Tracy lived in the Jackman Villa for 18 years. She had so many things, so there has to be something left. Go search. Even if you have to turn the whole villa upside down, you must find something of hers."

Liam had given the order, but quickly stopped them. "No, I'll go myself. I'll definitely find something of hers."

Without waiting for a response, he rushed to the storage room and began to search.

Even though he couldn't use his hand, he refused to let anyone help him, insisting on searching every single corner himself.

He seemed to think that was the only way to find what he was looking for, to show Tracy how sincere he was, for their family could go back to the way it was as if nothing had ever happened.

But Liam had made it very clear back then. Under Walter's training, the Jackmans' maids were meticulous and careful. If they were told to throw everything away, they left nothing behind.

Liam searched from day to night, and from night until dawn. The storage room was slowly cleared, but he still found nothing.

When he finally looked around at the empty room, he collapsed to the ground. His injured hand twitched uncontrollably, and blood seeped through the bandages. Sharp pain stabbed through the wound, but he didn't care.

"How could this be ... "

He repeated those words over and over, looking lost, helpless, and pitiful.

The maids stood silently at the door, exchanging uneasy looks, but no one dared go up to comfort him.

They had all seen what kind of people the Jackmans really were.

They had abandoned a daughter who had lived with them for 18 years. When Erin, whom they had adored, died, no one even claimed her body. Only people with cold hearts could do something like that.

They were just maids and had no interest in getting involved in their employers' family drama.

They watched as Liam sat in the dim storage room for hours until the blood on his hand had clotted. Only then did he slowly snap out of it.

Because of that ordeal, Liam's hand was ruined for good.

When his father came home tired from a full day of work and heard the news, he froze.

For the first time, he felt completely lost.

What had their family done to deserve such suffering?
