Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 110

Drusilla snapped, "Stop talking nonsense!"

Verena, with a teasing giggle, replied, "Oh, shy now, are we? I gotta run." She waved goodbye and headed out.

Drusilla was about to follow when she saw Oberon descending the staircase. In his presence, she restrained herself from being too obvious.

She greeted him, "Oberon."

Oberon looked at her and said, "Madam, Mr. Taylor requests your presence upstairs."

At the mention of Mr. Taylor, Drusilla was instantly reminded of Enoch's instructions for her to spend the night here.

Knowing him, he was likely to remember such a detail.

Without clearing this up with him, she doubted she could return home tonight.

Ascending the stairs, Drusilla found Enoch already in the bedroom, waiting for her in his wheelchair.

"Enoch, Oberon mentioned you were looking for me," she said upon seeing him.

Enoch looked up briefly and responded, "Yes, have a seat."

Drusilla approached and sat down on the couch, having no idea what he wanted to discuss. She was internally strategizing how to broach the subject of going home.

Especially since Enoch could be quite unreasonable once he set his mind on something.

Enoch patted the spot next to him, "Sit here."

Feeling puzzled but compliant, Drusilla still moved closer, taking the seat nearest to him.

Enoch then took a velvet box from beside him, opened it, and revealed a ring adorned with a ruby.

"Hand," he instructed.

Drusilla, though confused, extended her hand and watched as he slid the ring onto her finger.
