The staff had already followed her in.
Drusilla turned to her, who announced, "This room now belongs to Miss Odette. Your room is next door."
Not long after Drusilla was dismissed, Odette had someone swap their rooms.
Looking around the room, Drusilla remarked with a meaningful tone, “Odette sure has a fancy for my things.”
Ever since they were kids, there wasn’t anything of Drusilla’s that Odette didn’t like. Sometimes, she would even sneak in to wear Drusilla’s clothes.
And now, with Drusilla away, Odette even took over her room!
Seeing Drusilla standing there, the staff said, “If you’ve seen enough, let’s step out. Miss Odette doesn’t like others entering her room.”
As if Odette was the queen of the castle.
Drusilla faced her and said, “Before I left, this was my room.”
Hearing this, the staff glanced at Drusilla with a hint of disdain, “Well, you know that’s the past. And who runs the house now? Hestia, obviously! You have been away for years.”
Drusilla’s infamous deeds were no secret to her. Her eyes sparkled with mockery.
Even now that Drusilla had returned, she was merely Odette’s stand-in married off to the Taylor family.
Would the Taylor family ever truly accept a divorced and scandalous woman?
Thinking of this, the staff’s tone became even more belittling.
Drusilla’s face twitched at her words. Trying to control her anger, she asked, “Where are my things?”
“In the next room,” the staff replied, leading Drusilla to a room in disarray compared to Odette’s tidy space. Drusilla’s belongings, the ones Odette didn’t fancy, were tossed aside like trash.
