Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 144

So she’s also a snitcher, Hestia thought.

Originally, she thought that Drusilla and Enoch would leave after they had their dinner. She didn't bother having Drusilla's room cleaned up. But now, to her surprise, Enoch wanted a tour there.

With no other choice, Hestia trailed behind Drusilla and Enoch, taking the elevator upstairs.

Leading the way, Hestia entered first and saw Willa still tidying up.

Even though Willa had come up early to clean, there was just not enough time to make much of a difference.

The room was barely touched, containing only a few of Drusilla’s leftover items, far from complete.

Enoch appeared at the doorway, glanced inside, then at Drusilla, “This is your room?”

Hearing his words, Drusilla responded, “…No, it’s not.”

“Then where is it?”

“I don’t have a room here.” Drusilla looked at Enoch, “I don’t usually stay here.”

“And you’re the only daughter of the Lawson family, and this is how you’re treated?”

His question struck a chord with Drusilla.

She said, “Haven’t you heard the saying? A stepmom will make your dad a stepfather.”

Standing aside, Hestia stiffened at Drusilla’s words, “Sweetie, why would you say that? Now, Mr. Taylor might think we don’t get along!”

Hearing Hestia, Drusilla forced a smile, “Hestia, you don’t really think I’d cover for you in front of my husband, do you? Didn’t you say you’d have someone clean up my room this morning? Is this the result?”

Willa, standing by, upon hearing Drusilla’s remark, said, “I’ll go grab the blankets.”
