Walking into the diner, Leander was already seated. Fresh out of the hospital, his health was still shaky. Plus, he wasn't exactly Enoch's biggest fan, considering Enoch nearly drove his family to bankruptcy once upon a time.
If Drusilla hadn't married into that mess, God knows where they'd be right now.
Just thinking about Drusilla actually tying the knot with him made Leander uneasy.
Hestia entered and spotted Leander, saying, "Honey, Enoch and Oberon just got here."
Leander looked up at Enoch and simply acknowledged him with a nod, not bothering with any pleasantries. Clearly, he wasn't as welcoming as Hestia.
Worried Leander might offend Enoch, Hestia quickly explained, "Leander just got out of the hospital today; he's not feeling great, so please excuse him."
Enoch glanced at Leander but didn't comment.
Once everyone was seated, Drusilla sat close to Enoch, while Hestia called over the staff to serve the dishes.
Hestia was all smiles towards Enoch and Oberon, urging them to eat, "I made these myself, please have a taste."
Enoch didn't reach for his fork.
Drusilla, on the other hand, was digging in. She hadn't eaten much for lunch and was starving.
Noticing Drusilla focused solely on her plate, Hestia said, "Drusilla, let your husband have some too. Don't just eat by yourself. Honestly, kid."
Then, she turned to Enoch, "Drusilla can be a bit clueless sometimes. She hasn't troubled you, has she?"
Hearing this, Enoch looked at Drusilla and indulgently started serving her some dishes she couldn't reach, gently asking, "Didn't have lunch?"
"Just grabbed something quick." She said.
Enoch teased, "What, has your family gone so broke that they stopped feeding you now?"
Drusilla shot him a glance as she heard him.
