Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 157

Oberon's words were like pouring gasoline on Drusilla's already simmering rage.

She let out a sardonic laugh, "I'm well aware of who I am. There’s no need to remind me, Oberon. But since we're on the subject, this is my house, and I certainly have the right to ask irrelevant people to leave."

Enoch watched her icy demeanor and turned to Oberon, "Oberon, why don't you step out for a bit?"

Despite his reservations, Oberon complied with Enoch's request and left the room, gently closing the door behind him.

Now alone, the room fell into an unsettling silence. Drusilla turned away from Enoch, her back speaking volumes, "You should leave too. You're not welcome here."

Her tone was defiant, edged with emotion.

Yet, Enoch nonchalantly retorted from behind, "How about we make some dinner? I'm starving."

She whirled around, exasperation written all over her face, "Did you not understand? I want you out!"

"You said to let irrelevant people go. Oberon's left, so I guess I can stay." He remarked with a smug righteousness.

Drusilla was speechless.

His logic was infuriatingly sound, leaving her without a comeback.

She challenged Enoch, "The acupuncture session is over. What more do you want?"

"I want to have dinner with you." Enoch wasn't foolish. He knew well enough that if a woman tells you to leave and you actually do, she'll only get angrier.

He stayed with the intention of appeasing her.

Drusilla retorted, "Well, I don't want to have dinner with you."

"Don't worry," Enoch assured her. "Even if the kids come back, you're still my darling. Come on, don't be mad. You're no longer a child to look this silly when you're upset."
