Oberon watched Drusilla's mood swings with a mix of amazement and suspicion, thinking, "What's with her? Is she sick or something? One minute she's up, the next she's down."

"Let's get going then," she suggested, even though she wasn't hungry. She just wanted an excuse to get Enoch out of the house.

When they reached the elevator, Drusilla excused herself. "Hold on, you guys go ahead. I need to grab my acupuncture kit."

Her plan was to send Enoch on his way and avoid having him enter her home.

With Enoch waiting at the elevator, Oberon couldn't help but comment, "Mr. Taylor, don't you find Mrs. Taylor a bit odd? Just now she seemed to dislike you, and the next, she's calling you 'honey.' It's like she really doesn't want you in her house."

Enoch dismissed his concern with a glance. "Really?"

Oberon was flabbergasted. "How can you not see what's going on?"

Despite Drusilla's clear signals, Enoch seemed oblivious.

Enoch sighed, "Women often have their quirks."

Oberon pointed out, "But with the kids involved, don't you think her attitude is a bit much? You can't just ignore your children because of her."

Enoch shot him a look. "That's enough, Oberon. My wife is off-limits for your commentary."

Chastened, Oberon nodded. "Understood."

Somehow, despite their marriage being a sham, Oberon felt like Enoch was completely under Drusilla's spell.
