Harlan marched up to her, his jaw clenched in anger. "You brought those two kids here just to piss me off, didn't you?"

Drusilla nearly burst into laughter at his absurd logic. "I got here first, and I was about to finish my meal. You show up now and blame me?"

"You knew I'd come, so you waited here on purpose. Am I wrong?" Harlan retorted.

The whole debacle with the Taylors earlier that day had already soured his mood, and now she had the nerve to show up here and aggravate him further? Did she really think he was that easy to push around?

Drusilla just stared at him silently, as if looking at an idiot.

Seeing her silence, Harlan mistook it for guilt. "What, no witty comeback? Hit a nerve, did I?"

Drusilla finally responded, "I'm just trying to figure out how your brain works. How do you manage to believe you're so irresistible that I'd somehow have the power to predict your every move? Oh, you want to make a scene? Fine, why don't we call Lilith over and let her see these two kids you've abandoned? How about that?"

At the mention of Lilith, Harlan frowned. The mess between him and Drusilla was something he had no intention of dragging Lilith into, considering she was tied to his future prospects.

He pulled out a cigarette from his pocket, lit it, and took a drag before saying, "Alright, what will it take for you to leave the Taylors and disappear from my life with the kids? Want a house? I can give you one! Come find me tomorrow, and I'll hand it over. Just... stay out of my sight from now on, OK?"

He knew she had been after him for years, probably hoping to get back the house they once shared. He had to admit she had some tricks up her sleeve; he was now wary of her, thus the offer of the house.

Drusilla looked at him, knowing that after their divorce, the house had been in his mother's hands. He had always refused to give it to her, avoiding her and having his mother deal with her instead. Now, he was actually offering it.

Too bad, she wasn't interested anymore.
