However, seeing Drusilla eyeing Harlan didn’t faze Lilith. She knew many coveted her husband, but Harlan only had eyes for her. As for Drusilla, Lilith was confident that Harlan wouldn’t spare her a second glance.

She asked Cybele, looking at Drusilla, “Is this the new housekeeper?”

Cybele introduced her, “This is Dr. Lawson. She’s here for a job interview today to provide acupuncture therapy for Mr. Taylor.”

“Oh, I see!” While Lilith didn’t quite understand, given Uncle Enoch’s poor health, their house was no stranger to various visitors, not all of whom she recognized.

“An acupuncturist?” Harlan was visibly surprised to see Drusilla. Since when had she become an acupuncturist?
