Wedding My Ex’s Uncle
Chapter 119 Sleep With Him
Back at the apartment, Kaia had packed just two suitcases. She turned to Lucien, who was sitting on the couch. “Ready to go. I’m all packed.”
But Lucien wasn’t satisfied. He raised one eyebrow. “That’s it?”
“I can’t move everything in one trip. I’ll do it slowly.” Actually, Kaia was thinking that if they ever broke up, she wouldn’t have tò struggle to move everything back.
Lucien didn’t give her a chance for these cautious thoughts. “No problem, we can get it all done. I just called a professional moving company. They’re sending 10 people to help you move. Don’t worry. They’ll organize everything properly and move it without a scratch.”
Kaia blinked.
Well, can I refuse this?
“Isn’t that too much trouble?” she couldn’t help but ask.
Lucien looked completely matter–of–fact. “No trouble at all. I already paid them. You just need to tell them what goes where occasionally. It’ll be quick. It’s ten o’clock now. They’ll have everything packed by noon and moved into our new place by
one.”
The sudden change caught Kaia completely off guard. She couldn’t find any reason to refuse and found herself forced to accept.
Two hours later, she watched her little apartment get completely emptied out. She’d fought hard to keep just a few loungewear items and daily necessities, but everything else was gone.
Kaia felt hollow inside. She’d been living on her own since graduating from college, moving through grad school and work, from renting to finally owning this apartment.
It had been with her through the most important moments of her life–that wasn’t an exaggeration. But now, it was all gone.
Lucien took her soft hand in his, his eyes seeming to see right through her. “Don’t be sad. When you want to come back, I’ll come with you.”
“Okay,” Kaia sighed inwardly. “Let’s go then.”
When Jason followed the movers to get all of Kaia’s belongings organized in her room, the entire second floor suddenly came alive with color.
Alyssa poked her head around, watching people come and go from Lucien’s villa, then followed them upstairs. “Jason, is Uncle Lucien renovating his house?”
As soon as she spoke, she spotted two figures standing side by
side across the room.
Lucien, who usually radiated cold detachment, stood with his back to the light. He tilted his head slightly down, and from his profile, Alyssa could catch a glimpse of unexpected tenderness.
The woman had long hair cascading over her shoulders, her delicate face tilted up with a rosy blush that made her look like a soft peach.
It was just a simple moment of eye contact, but Alyssa could practically feel the romantic tension crackling between them.
Oh my god, I’m already shipping them hard!
Alyssa didn’t want to interrupt their perfect moment, but Jason spotted her. “Ms. Graves, you’re here.” He greeted.
Kaia turned around first and met Alyssa’s teasing gaze. “Alyssa, you came.”
Alyssa dragged out her words playfully. “Hmph, if I didn’t show
up now, you two would probably be jetting off on your honeymoon tomorrow!”
She marched right up to Lucien with mock indignation and stuck out her hand. /Uncle Lucien, you owe me a new phone! When I heard this news, I was so shocked I dropped mine in the bathtub!

“I’ve had this phone for two or three years now,” Alyssa said, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “Uncle Lucien, I’ll give you a discount. Just pay me 60 thousand dollars for it!”
Kaia bit her lip, wanting to tell Alyssa to stop messing around.
But to her surprise, Lucien seemed to be in a good mood and agreed, “Fine. Check your phone. I just sent the money.”
Alyssa had only been joking around, never expecting Lucien to actually transfer anything. When she looked at her backup phone and saw that long string of zeros, her eyes went wide.
She counted the digits–six million dollars! The transfer note read: [Don’t pick on my wife. She’s shy.]
Alyssa immediately took it.
Perfect! Lucien had just given her hush money. She’d been eyeing a few designer bags anyway, so she wasn’t going to feel bad about this.
She quickly shoved the phone into her pocket like the money might somehow escape. “Thanks, Uncle Lucien. You’re so
generous.”
Kaia was dying to know how much Lucien had actually sent, but Alyssa didn’t give her the chance to find out.
“Kaia, show me around your wedding room!” Alyssa grinned.

Alyssa successfully dragged Kaia away and whispered in her ear, “Kaia, be honest with me. You’re marrying Uncle Lucien because you want to, right?”
Even though she’d taken the money, if she found out it was dirty money, she’d return it immediately.
After all, she and Kaia were best friends forever, and not even
Lucien could shake that bond.
Kaia smiled helplessly, “Of course I wanted to. Alyssa, don’t worry about me. I’ll take care of myself.”
Alyssa thought about it and realized her Kaia wasn’t fragile at all.
“Hey, don’t worry though. Uncle Lucien doesn’t have any ex–girlfriends, zero scandals, and even his assistant is a guy. I’ve never seen him close to anyone, honestly. But even though he’s my uncle, I used to think he might be gay. Maybe you should figure out if he’s actually straight?”
Kaia froze. “He should be straight, right?”
“Don’t just assume. You need to investigate,” Alyssa said urgently.

Kaia was quiet for a moment. “How exactly am I supposed to investigate?”
Alyssa was frustrated with her. “Well, just sleep with him and you’ll find out, won’t you?”
