Zane’s heart sank. Looking at his children–useless, both of them -he could only shake his head.

He said, “Kaia, calm down. Fortunately, Lucien’s okay. But as Lucien’s brother, I have to say this–if someone wants to throw their life away, it’s not our job to throw ours in after them. At the end of the day, that boy just wasn’t strong enough.”
