She turned on Lucien, furious. “Lucien, she’s your niece. You watched her grow up! Isn’t this a little too cruel?”

Lucien remained unmoved. “Sending her abroad is cruel?

“There are plenty of people who dream of going overseas but don’t have the means. The Graves family raised her for years without asking anything in return. But we can’t keep her around if all she does is bring harm.”

Just then, the family doctor, Leo Hawkins, rushed in. “What happened?”

“Dr. Hawkins, please, check on her. She just fainted!” Joanne cried.

Leo quickly checked her pulse and listened to her heartbeat. He

Joanne stiffened. “Could she be pregnant?”

“Relax. Medical care abroad is excellent. I promise your precious grandchild will be delivered safely.”

Zane and Joanne were stunned.

Joanne was practically fuming with rage. “Lucien, you—”

“Enough!” Allen barked. “Let’s all calm down. Dr. Hawkins, give her the glucose injection. Then send her to the hospital for bloodwork to confirm whether or not she’s pregnant.”

Zane and Joanne had no choice but to scramble to get Luna to the hospital.

The events of the night had been overwhelming, Kain felt like her head was still spinning,

“There’s no way she’s pregnant,” Alyssa said with a scoff. “Kaia, she always pretends to be the victim whenever she does something wrong. I’ve known her tricks since we were kids,”

Truth be told, of all the people affected by Zane and Joanne adopting Luna, Alyssa had been the most impacted.

She still remembered Luna’s first birthday after joining the family. Alyssa had given her a favorite toy as a gift. And Luna had turned around and given it away to someone else.

After that, Alyssa didn’t want to play with her anymore.

But somehow, that became Alyssa’s fault too.
