Backlit, the sharp edges of his features softened slightly.

Lucien lowered his phone and smiled slightly, “Let’s go in. They’re waiting.”

Jude responded, “I’m available, but Ms. Domont has a court session at 2:30 PM.”

Julian was deeply disappointed. “Oh, what a shame. Then, Mr. Halston, you’ll join us?”

Lucien glanced at his phone and said casually, “Actually, I just remembered I have something to attend to at noon. Mr. Rhodes, please entertain Mr. Halston on my behalf. I’ll take my leave.”

Julian’s eyes gleamed with understanding.
