Natalie’s hands were trembling. Just a few days ago, this bright young woman had been fine; how had she ended up like this?

Hearing Natalie’s voice, Yvonne struggled to open eyes.
“Natalie…”
The moment her name left Yvonne’s lips, tears streamed down her face.
Before, she’d casually called Natalie “sister–in–law” because of Baron, never thinking much of it. But now that she knew the truth–that her parents had never betrayed the Stone family- seeing Natalie again filled her with such overwhelming emotion that she couldn’t hold back her tears.
The word “sister” slipped out of her mouth before she could stop it.
Natalie’s chest ached painfully.
“Don’t talk; it’s okay. I promise, everything that scumbag did to you–my father and your brother will make him pay for it.”
At her words, Yvonne nodded weakly, then fainted again.
“Doctor!”
Natalie’s heart clenched.
Baron, worried she’d panic, spoke softly. “It’s fine; I just gave her an injection. She should be okay. The doctor I called is already on the way. Take her over there and let her rest for a bit.”
“Alright.”
Natalie didn’t argue with Baron’s instructions.
When Logan saw Yvonne, his brows knit tightly together.
“You people, are you her family or friends?”
He was still trying to figure out who Waylon and the others were when Jacob lost his patience.

“Hey, old man, who the heck are you guys? You think you can just come in here and ruin our fun? You must have a death wish!”
Hearing Jacob’s voice, Logan suddenly felt emboldened again.
“That’s right! Do you even know who’s in here? Let me tell you, you can’t afford to offend a single one of them! If you’ve got any sense, you’ll apologize and pay up, and we’ll call it even; otherwise, I’ll make sure you regret ever showing your faces here.”
Before Baron could even move, Waylon struck first–his palm cracked across Logan’s face.
“Still acting tough?”
One slap wasn’t enough. Waylon shrugged off his coat and began beating Logan mercilessly.
At first, Logan shouted that he’d kill Waylon, but once Waylon’s fists started landing hard, again and again, he stopped yelling; soon, he was begging for mercy.
Waylon didn’t care what he said–he kept hitting him until he was satisfied.
Despite his age, Waylon worked out regularly and had trained his body well; Logan, a bloated drunk living off arrogance, was no match for him.
By the time Waylon was done, Logan was lying on the floor like a dead dog, gasping for breath.
Jacob and his men, realizing Waylon wasn’t giving them any respect, all rushed down together.
“Hey, old man, you really must have a death wish, I–ah!”
Before Jacob could finish his threat, Baron slapped him hard across the face. The others froze in shock.
Even Jacob looked stunned.
Baron’s voice was cold. “They call you Mr. Jacob, and you really think that makes you somebody? If you ever run your mouth in front of me again, I’ll cut your tongue out and use it to stir my drink.”
Jacob instinctively wanted to talk back, but when he saw the murderous glint in Baron’s eyes and the aura radiating from him, he swallowed hard and didn’t dare utter another word.
Waylon had no objection to Baron’s actions.
“Go–call their families. Give them half an hour to get here. If they don’t come, I’ll do the parenting they’ve failed to do! I just can’t guarantee their precious sons will still be in one
