“You little brat, what nonsense are you talking about? This is my residence! Who do you think your parents were–how could they have left anything here?”
Logan didn’t know if the man before him was truly Waylon, but his heart was pounding; if it really was him, Logan’s end would be ugly. Still, if this man was bluffing…
As his mind raced for a way out, Yvonne’s words reached his ears, and he snapped back immediately to refute her.
Waylon kicked him hard and spat furiously, “Your residence? You have no damn right to live here! Do you even know who that girl you just insulted is? She’s my younger brother Xenon’s biological daughter–the legitimate daughter of the Stone family! And yet you, you piece of trash, humiliated her and threw her into a pit with a tiger! Logan, you deserve to die!”
Logan’s face turned pale at that. Xenon’s biological daughter? Then what she said about her parents leaving something behind–could it be…
He scrambled for his phone, but before he could touch it, Baron kicked it straight out of his hand.
“Trying to make a call now? Too late! Let’s see if your boss dares to take on the Stone family head–on because of you.”
Baron’s presence was cold, commanding, and suffocating; Logan instinctively rubbed his neck, feeling a chill crawl down his spine.
Waylon caught the scene and a flicker of thought crossed his eyes.
“Get Alden to the hospital immediately.”
At his order, Alden was carried away. Jacob and the others finally realized they’d really messed with the wrong people, and the weight of it made their stomachs sink.
“Mr. Waylon, right? We didn’t know it was you. It was all Logan’s doing! He’s the one who invited us; he said this was his house, so we came along. This has nothing to do with us!”
Waylon gave them a cold, cutting look.
If it hadn’t been for these idiots egging Logan on, would he have dared commit such atrocities
here?
No one knew how many innocent bodies were buried beneath this residence.

Even the thick, coppery stench of blood and the dark stains on the ground made it impossible for Waylon to stay calm.
“Baron, use your connections; bring in some hunting dogs. Have them search the grounds for human remains. The moment they find anything, call the police.”
“Yes.”
Baron moved quickly to make the call.
Yvonne clung tightly to Natalie’s hand, tears still streaming down her face.
“Natalie, my parents weren’t criminals; they weren’t.”
“I know. Don’t talk right now. The doctor’s almost here; once you’ve been treated, we can talk about everything else. Yvonne, nothing matters more than your life, okay?”
The worry in Natalie’s eyes made Yvonne’s tears flow harder. And when Waylon had publicly declared her true identity moments ago, for the first time, Yvonne felt what it meant to belong to a family.
Growing up with Baron, she’d known warmth and care–but this feeling, of finding her roots and being acknowledged by her bloodline, was something entirely different.
“Natalie…”
“There, there. Be good, and listen.”
Moved by Natalie’s gentle tone, Yvonne nodded through her tears.
Waylon had Logan restrained, while Jacob and the rest were herded into the main villa hall.
With Stone family guards present, they didn’t dare stir up trouble, though their hatred for Logan was palpable.
If this really was Waylon, they were all doomed–every one of them would be beaten to death by their families once word got out.
But there was nothing they could do now.
All they could manage was cursing Logan under their breath; none dared utter a single complaint against Waylon or his men.
The hunting dogs Baron brought soon arrived–over a dozen of them.
