A Vow of Deception, A Vow of Revenge novel Chapter 21

Even after being drugged, he still managed to restrain himself, enduring it to the point of coughing up blood.

Elvis... What kind of man is he, really?

Winona returned to the private dining room where they'd eaten earlier. Now, the room was swarming with bodyguards in dark suits—clearly, Elvis's men.

So, Celia had staged a suicide attempt.

Whatever was going on between them, it hardly stirred Winona's emotions. She caught a cab home, took a shower, and planned to get a good night's sleep.
