“Really?” Winona looked down at herself, a little self-conscious.
Since it was just a private gathering tonight—not some formal event—she’d chosen a simple dress and put on a touch of light makeup.
“Really,” Elvis said, his gaze never leaving her. “You look beautiful, no matter what you wear.”
She wanted to tease him for being so smooth, but the sincerity in his eyes and voice left her at a loss for words. Instead, she just felt her ears grow warm.
“Alright then.” Winona let out a soft laugh. “Let’s go.”
Elvis noticed the flush creeping up her neck and couldn’t help but smile.
“After you.”

Meanwhile, in the hotel lobby, Eric stared at the news article his bodyguard had just shown him, a chill running down his spine. Goosebumps prickled along his arms.
That old pervert’s company was leagues bigger than his, not to mention far more powerful.
And yet, he’d been ruined—just like that.
So what about him?
If Elvis and Winona wanted to crush him, it would be as easy as squashing a bug.
He hadn’t forgotten what Winona told him that night—she made it very clear he wasn’t to bother Sue again.
But, he thought, a few days had passed. Surely they’d cooled off by now.
Sue always loved him. If he came to take her home, she’d definitely say yes.
He couldn’t lose her—not when she was Winona’s friend!
What he didn’t expect was for Sue to refuse to see him, and for the bodyguards to block his way at every turn.
Frustrated and desperate, he started to make a scene.
But now, after seeing the news about the old pervert, sheer terror gripped him.
Was he next?
