A Vow of Deception, A Vow of Revenge novel Chapter 70

Marcus was shaking so hard, he could barely stand.

"Tyson, man, you've got to help me…"

Tyson just snorted, glancing down at his phone. That's when he noticed a message Marcus had sent him earlier.

"Speaking of which, why didn't you ever mention that Nona has such a powerful uncle? Or did you not know either?"

Tyson frowned, raising his head to look at Marcus. "Nona's got some big-shot uncle?"

Marcus was still lost in the terror left by Elvis, not even registering Tyson's question.

It wasn't until Tyson gave him a swift kick that Marcus snapped back to reality. "Huh?"

"I asked you, what's this about Nona's impressive uncle?"

"Oh, that's Mr. Ford!" Marcus blurted out. "He's the current president of the Thorne Group's Seastone City branch! The guy's a real heavyweight! If it weren't for tagging along with my friend today, there's no way I'd have been invited to a party with someone like him."

Tyson's expression froze. Suddenly, a memory surfaced—the time Winona was hospitalized for a concussion, and a middle-aged man had shown up in her room.

Back then, Tyson had just assumed the man was one of Winona's less well-off relatives.

Turns out, he was a high-ranking executive at Thorne Group?

In the past, Tyson wouldn't have cared much about the president of a local branch. But now, he'd been desperately looking for a way to partner up with Thorne Group.

If Mr. Ford could make an introduction for him… maybe there was a chance.

Why had Winona never mentioned she had a relative so high up at Thorne Group?

Tyson immediately started searching for Mr. Ford online.

The search results made it clear: this wasn't just anyone. Mr. Ford had been working under Chairman Thorne's wing for decades, earning the old man's trust. The only reason he'd been sent to Seastone City was because their branch was in deep trouble.

He was the kind of person who could speak directly to Chairman Thorne himself.

Tyson's brow furrowed with worry.
