ACCIDENTALLY MARRIED TO A MAD BILLIONAIRE novel Chapter 28

Chapter 28: Dungeon

The Adkin’s lawyers have no idea why those hunters were after Osvaldo or had killed Dewitt his father, but the man had warned they keep his son hidden till he’s recovered.

He had given them a book and cassette about their family history and why the hunters wanted his son’s head. He had also instructed them never to let anyone see it except Osvaldo.

Dewitt had done something terrible in the past.

Though it was a mistake, the hunters were after them now.

"Please sign here madam." Timothy laid the paper on the desk before her eyes.

"One more thing." Treadwell cleared his throat. "While you are with Master Osvaldo... you cannot be with anyone else. Romantically or physically."

"Your only job," Willy added, "is to ensure he lives. If he dies, it must be from a natural cause. No accidents. No injuries. No poison. No trace of harm."

"Especially protect him from the Petersons," Timothy warned. "Keep him alive until we find a permanent way to keep him safe."

"Should you choose to stay longer... another two hundred million will be added," Treadwell said. "The longer you stay, the more you get." The Adkins had more than enough or would be bad if they didn’t spend it well.

Penny blinked, her brain spinning.

Just how rich were the Adkins?

To throw around billions like spare change?

"I don’t think I’ll need an extra year," Penny said, almost breathless. "But thanks for the offer."

She signed.

All three men stood and bowed deeply.

"Welcome to the Adkins family, Madam."

Timothy handed her a sleek black card with a shimmering "A" embossed in gold.

"This is the Adkins black card. It’ll handle everything you need, no limits, no questions.

"For one year," Willy said gently, "everything the Adkins family owns is yours."

"Live the life of your dreams, Madam Penny." Treadwell smiled.

"And thank you, for choosing our master." They all bowed deeply to their new madam.

"I want a favor from you." Penny suddenly said to them.

The air in the dungeon was damp and cold. The sound of water dripping echoed in the dim space like a ticking clock. Ariana screamed and kicked as two guards dragged her across the wet stone floor. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

"Let me go! You can’t do this to me!" she shrieked, heels skidding, hair wild, her voice echoing off the moldy walls.
