At that moment, Curtis finally understood why Sonya had suddenly told him that she was

pregnant.

But when she left the company, everything fell into chaos. Even the final 50–million–dollar loan he’d gotten had been stolen by Sonya.

At that thought, his face paled even more than Sonya’s.

As the police officer was about to take Sonya into the interrogation room, she yelled at Curtis, “Curtis, I’m pregnant with your child! You can’t just abandon me!”

“I’m going to the border to look for Daniel himself,” Chloe said.

Lena sighed. Daniel had been missing for five years, and Chloe had been to the border three :imes to look for him.

‘I’ll come with you,” Lena offered.

‘No need. I don’t know how long I’ll be there. Besides, you have the company to manage,” Chloe said. “I know I just joined Skyline Tech, but I need to go and find Daniel. I’m afraid I won’t-”

Ethan poured two glasses of wine and handed Chloe one. “Clo, now that we’ve finally found out the reason Daniel went missing, I’m sure we’ll find him soon. This is worth celebrating!” Chloe chuckled. “It sure is worth celebrating!” She accepted the glass from Ethan and downed it in one go. Ethan did the same.

“We’ll also have to celebrate you leaving that scumbag! You shouldn’t have married a man like him!” Ethan poured more wine.

Lena chimed in, “Curtis‘ expression was so ugly today. He always thought that Sonya was the one who saved him, right? Now that he knows it’s you, do you think he’ll come looking for you?”
