Chapter 22 The Tycoon Arrives
Rosalie scoffed. “Making a fuss. She’s from the countryside herself. Of course, she knows about insect bites. She’s just fooling you. Let’s see her try real surgery!”
Annelise did not pick up a scalpel. Instead, she retrieved a set of special tools from her kit
Those who had held hope for her skills felt their hands drop, faces filled with disappointment.
“Specialized tools? For something this critical?”
“This is irresponsible!”
“Maybe she can’t handle surgery at all. How did Dr. Pennington get taken in by a girl? This is a disaster.”
Rosalie smirked. “What did I say? It’s an act. No substance. That license is probably forged.”
“Dr. Kendrick’s right. Someone that young, a Lead Physician?”
“Total fraud.”
As whispers filled the air, Annelise’s hand was already in motion.
The first tool was placed with swift, certain precision.
It was applied to the head at a specific depth and angle.
“Primary point. Secondary point. Tertiary stabilization. Final anchor.”
With each application, she calmly stated its purpose.
Her movements were fluid and practiced, one hand locating the area, the other applying the tool, sometimes with a slight turn, sometimes a gentle adjustment.
The observers were captivated.
True mastery of these specialized techniques was rare. Watching Annelise’s elegant, rhythmic procedure left them in silent awe.

It was a masterclass.
Even Rosalie’s certainty wavered. “She… she actually knows the technique… How. ” she muttered under her breath.
Furthermore, the technique was one she didn’t recognize.
Annelise calmly applied the tools. Her focus was absolute, as if this were utterly routine.
The doctors were so stunned they instinctively wanted to record her technique
Not even the renowned Rosalie demonstrated this level of skill.
Feeling their stares, Rosalie dug in. “Just theatrical tricks! Random application. What possible effect could it have?”
The instant she finished speaking, a monitoring nurse cried out.
“It’s working! The fever is breaking! Temperature is dropping to 37.3!
“Neurological responses are normal. Consciousness is improving!”
“Cardiac rhythm?”
“Stable! All vitals are stabilizing!”
The observation room buzzed with excitement.
Jonathon jumped with relief. “I knew Dr. Caldwell could do it!”
He shot a look at Rosalie. “A hundred times more capable than a certain specialist!”
Rosalie’s face burned with humiliation.
The architect of this turnaround, however, remained perfectly composed. She wasn’t finished. She carefully used a tool to address the insect bite, meticulously dealing with the affected
area.
Faintly, she could hear the old man’s murmur. “Ana… Is that you, Ana?”
