Sonia felt embarrassed after her phone was snatched away. “I was just taking some scenic photos.”

Silas remained steadfast. “Mr. White’s orders cannot be violated.”

Sonia found him to be quite insolent. He was just one of Lucius‘ bodyguards, yet he was speaking to Sonia so rudely. Silas clearly had no respect for her.

Heck, Sonia might just become Mrs. White in the near future. How could she tolerate a mere bodyguard disrespecting his future mistress?

“One must be quick to adapt, Silas. Being too stubborn can make you offend others easily without you knowing,” Sonia said.

Keane heard the conversation and smiled politely at Sonia. “Since Mr. White has given his orders, we hope you will adhere to them, Ms. Woodward. After all, Mr. White is a very important person, and his whereabouts must be kept confidential whenever he is out and about.

“You’re very skilled when it comes to hacking, so I’m sure you understand how a simple social media post can expose Mr. White’s IP address. Anyone can say everything is fine when nothing bad has happened yet, but none of us have what it takes to bear the responsibility if something actually happens.”

Though Keane looked more polite compared to Silas, there was a sharp accusatory tone in his voice when he spoke to Sonia.

Sonia wasn’t at all surprised to be on the receiving end of Silas‘ words. But now that Keane was joining in, Sonia felt irritated. “You two are Mr. White’s personal bodyguards. Do you have any idea why Mr. White brought me on board as his plus–one?”

Keane’s smile never wavered. “That is between you and Mr. White. As for what rules are to be adhered to while onboard–that is Silas‘ and my domain.”

Not expecting Keane to rebuke her, Sonia felt even more upset. But then, she saw Lucius shooting her a look from a distance away while tending to the guests. There was no affection in his eyes, only disgust and a warning.

The sight frightened her, and only then did she realize she’d been out of line.

“Mr. White, I…” Sonia tried explaining herself.

All of a sudden, there came a commotion from the other side of the deck.

Sonia instinctively looked over toward the source of the noise. She then bore witness to the

most unforgettable scene she’d ever seen in her entire life.

Valerie, the bane of Sonia’s existence, was currently walking over to this side of the ship as the guests watched on.

Valerie was no longer dressing up demurely like she used to. Right now, she was the most stunning woman on deck.

She wore an exquisitely–tailored checkered bodycon dress that accentuated all her curves. Her dark hair was tied in a bun, her makeup on point with fiery red lips to boot. She’d even decorated her hair with a headdress and held an ivory fan in one hand.

The bodycon dress was made of very fine silk that was trimmed to fit Valerie’s physique. It had a very unique style and was split open at the bottom into two ends. The splits showed Valerie’s long legs while covering what needed to be covered.

Sonia stood there, shocked to the core. She was in denial that this stunning woman was Valerie, the person Sonia looked down on with all her might.
