At that moment, Donovan felt all the blood in his body rush to his head. He couldn't care less about the blood dripping from his nose or the fact that they were in a public place. He didn't even care about his reputation or his prestigious status.
He gritted his teeth, lifted his leg, and kicked Gideon hard in the chest. Then, he lunged and tackled him to the ground, pinning him down as he threw punch after punch at his head.
As the heir to Kane Group, Donovan had always been dignified, calm, and restrained. Even in his rebellious youth, he'd never gotten into a fight.
But now, in his 30s, he lost control, almost as though someone else had taken over him. This violent outburst was the only way he could release the bitterness and frustration he'd been bottling up inside for so long.
Gideon, who was about the same size as Donovan, was no pushover either. After taking a barrage of punches, he found an opening and fought back fiercely. He broke free, pinned Donovan to the ground, and started throwing punches of his own.
Giselle gradually sobered up when she witnessed the violent scene. However, her legs felt like Jell-O, and she couldn't stay on her feet.
Giselle wanted to stop them, but she didn't have the strength. All she could do was watch helplessly as the two men beat each other to a bloody mess. She didn't dare get close, so she called out weakly for help.
The parking lot was mostly empty, and the security guards were patrolling elsewhere. It took several minutes before they noticed the fight and rushed over to break it up.
With the help of bystanders and security, the two men were finally pulled apart. Both were bloodied and bruised. Someone immediately called an ambulance and the cops.
Neither of them seemed to have the upper hand. They were both exhausted and collapsed on the ground, breathing heavily. The scene was brutal.
Giselle was now completely sober. She rushed to Gideon's side and tried to help him up. "Hey, are you okay? Are you badly hurt?"
