Giselle was a quick learner, especially when it came to sports and hobbies typically enjoyed by men. So, it didn't take her long to master the basics of shooting. After firing off a dozen or so bullets in quick succession, she improved at an impressive pace.
Noticing how smart she was and how fast she picked things up, as well as her confident and spirited demeanor, Gideon couldn't take his eyes off her. After all, he was used to being surrounded by women who were pretentious, always acting coy. They were shallow and boring, nothing like Giselle.
He picked up a gun and challenged her to a little shooting match. To make her smile, he deliberately missed a few shots. When she won, he cheered her on like her number one fan, gushing over her marksmanship.
Giselle had to admit that Gideon was pretty good at giving her emotional support, cheering her on, and praising her nonstop. Even though it sounded corny and insincere, it lifted her spirits and helped her feel more confident with firearms.
With each pull of the trigger, she became more and more into it. Giselle, who hadn't laughed so freely in a long time, couldn't help but burst out into hearty laughter several times. Her heart felt lighter, as if she had found happiness once more.
…
Meanwhile, Vivienne was still bugging Sebastian to take pictures of her. Noticing the intimate interaction between Gideon and Giselle, she couldn't help but comment, "I think there's something going on between them."
Sebastian also noticed the way Gideon looked at Giselle. Being a skilled brown-noser, he took the chance to walk over and cozy up to Gideon.
"Gideon," he called out with an obsequious smile. "I didn't expect you to be interested in my older sister. What a small world! I should've introduced you two sooner."
Gideon rolled his eyes at him. "Who the hell needs you to introduce us?"
