Giselle didn't want to argue with Sebastian, so she said apathetically, "It doesn't matter if I forgive you or not. We never had much to do with each other anyway. All I ask is that you don't hurt Vivi."
"That goes without saying!" Sebastian drew Vivienne to his side and declared, "In fact, I'm planning to marry her next year—"
"You must be deranged!" Vivienne couldn't help but snap at him, annoyed. "When did I ever agree to marry you? I told you I'm just after your money. If you want to get married, go find someone else!"
Sebastian swatted her on the head and insisted, "Whether you like it or not, I'm marrying you!"
Giselle found it hard to believe when she saw a playboy like Sebastian, who was never without a woman on his arm, act so smitten with Vivienne. She wasn't sure what it was about Vivienne that had reeled in her half-brother enough to make him give up his playboy ways and reach the point of discussing marriage.
"Alright. You two carry on." Sebastian felt a bit more confident about Gideon. He even draped his arm around him and said, "Now you know, Gideon. Ms. Holt is my older sister.
"If you're genuinely interested in her, I'm all for it. If you need anything, just let me know. Guy to guy, you know how it is."
Gideon glanced at him out of the corner of his eye and ignored him.
In their elite circle, whoever had the mightiest family or most influence usually became the center of attention, with people constantly gathered around them—Gideon being a prime example.
Everyone in their circle was aware that Gideon had a powerful godfather backing him. He had influence in both high society and the underworld, and he had his hands in everything—luxury cars, racing, shooting ranges, e-sports, and all kinds of extravagant hobbies. The people who could afford to get into this circle weren't just rich; they were the richest of the rich.
Gideon was the undisputed king of that playground. Those who followed him often gained access to valuable resources, which was why Sebastian willingly took the role of his sidekick. Over time, their bond grew stronger.
