When Giselle first came in, since she despised those other women who were in the same dormitory, she was quiet and only kept to herself, which led to someone turning off her water supply while she was showering, right after she had lathered her hair with shampoo.
Then, someone peed in her washbasin, the one used to wash her face with. After that, out of nowhere, she would either find the clothes that she was supposed to wear the next day soaking wet, or someone would trip her when she was running, causing her to tumble over, injuring her knees. These women would also say passive-aggressive, nasty things to her face.
She had just been beaten up really badly because she went up to the correctional officer to complain, causing Kelly Jones, the queen bee of the dormitory, to receive a three-hour standing punishment.
These women who were detained with Giselle were mostly ruthless people who would stop at nothing. In comparison to what they were detained for, Giselle's charges were considerably one of the more petty ones.
Giselle had always held it in when they bullied her since she was new and unfamiliar with the dynamics, and she was up against many others. On the other hand, she was also battling with loneliness and numbness from within.
She deserved what had happened to her today, but when she was reminded of how heartless a certain man was, she was helpless against the chill that ran down her spine.
She had never thought that a man with whom she had had a fling with several times before could be so cold-blooded as to force her to go through with an abortion, and also personally send her in here to suffer such inhumane torture.
He was a cruel, heartless man who would seek revenge on everyone who had crossed him. He was such a selfish man, but when she saw his face in her dreams, she would still be reminded of their past, and it would fill her with so much pain that she could hardly breathe.
She didn't know how long she still had to be detained for. All she knew was that every single day she was in there felt like forever, and it filled her with endless despair.
