"Why are you staring at me? You should eat something too." Giselle scooped a bit of caviar into Gideon's bowl. She didn't snap at him like she used to.

Her voice had even softened, taking on a slightly sentimental tone. "Honestly, I owe my freedom to you. I feel quite lucky to have met you."

With a chuckle, Gideon poured red wine into two glasses and handed her one. "Let's toast! Here's to taking our relationship to the next level."

With a smile, Giselle clinked glasses with him and downed her wine in one go.

After taking a small sip, he swirled his wine while gazing at her intently.

His smoldering gaze didn't stir much in Giselle. She'd long since realized he could look at a dog with the same soulful intensity.

After lunch, Giselle's thoughts drifted back to her clinic. She couldn't sit still any longer and needed to leave.

"I'll give you a ride," Gideon offered.

"Don't you have a company to run? You don't have to worry about me," Giselle declined.

Since Gideon owned a gaming company, she reckoned he would probably be too swamped with work to hang out with her.

Gideon replied calmly, "There's nothing to be busy about, as I leave the day-to-day work to my managers. I step in for the important decisions."

As the owner of a technology company, he never overworked himself and focused on what mattered. He would only stay up all night for significant projects. Otherwise, he would leave it to his team and check the final results.
