Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 189

However, Giselle remained shockingly cold.

She even walked over to Anne's car window, leaned in with a mocking smile, and asked loudly through the glass, "Thirsty?"

Anne nodded desperately. Her expression was filled with pain and regret. "Please… Give me water… Water…"

But the next second, Giselle cruelly poured the water out right in front of her and tossed the empty bottle aside.

"You…" Panic and despair overwhelmed Anne. Her throat felt like it was on fire, and she was suffocating. The heat was unbearable, as if she were being tied over open flames.

Seeing her in such agony, Giselle only sneered mockingly.

"You locked me in the cold storage room last night, while I locked you in an oven today. I'm just balancing things out between cold and heat. Sound fair?" Giselle said through the window.

Anne continued to cry while shaking her head repeatedly.

As Anne nearly fainted, Giselle turned away and calmly got back into her own car. She turned on the air-conditioning and watched Anne from behind her shaded windshield.

Giselle knew exactly how cruel this was. But then she remembered almost drowning in the river, nearly getting crushed under a truck after being shoved, and being locked in a cold storage room last night, almost freezing to death.

She had been dragged to death's door again and again.
