"Are you out of your mind?" Vivienne shoved Sebastian lightly. "Do you have any self-awareness? Think about how you used to bully Giselle. Better watch out, or Mr. Grayson might settle the score with you."
Sebastian clasped his hands in mock supplication toward Giselle. "Giselle, please, be the bigger person and let bygones be bygones. Spare me this time."
She couldn't even be bothered to trade words with him. He was Renee's son and Anne's younger brother, practically an enemy by blood.
Still, watching him now, doting on Vivienne, pouring real money into her business, bringing in connections to make the grand opening a roaring success, she found herself softening toward this half-brother she'd once despised.
After a few pleasantries, Gideon's phone rang and he stepped outside to take the call.
Vivienne wasted no time leaning in with a teasing grin. "Have you lost your mind? Why are you suddenly marrying him? You two haven't even dated, right? What's the rush?"
Giselle wasn't sure how to explain, so she kept it simple. "He's got great qualities. I figured I should lock him down before another woman does."
"Please." Vivienne clearly didn't buy it. "You're really giving up on Donovan?"
"Are you insane?" Giselle's expression hardened the instant that name came up. "That's ancient history. We have nothing to do with each other anymore. Why bring him up?"
"Whoa, no need to bite my head off. You're acting like you still have feelings for him."
Not wanting to push further, Vivienne shifted the topic back to Gideon. "Mr. Grayson actually suits you. His background isn't too messy, perfect husband material. Watching you two together, I swear the bed's going to collapse any second."
"You're deranged." Giselle shot her a glare.
