A shot on his back caused Orin so much pain that he collapsed onto the ground immediately.
Giselle got up immediately and took a few steps back, while she continued pointing her gun at him.
Orin gritted his teeth and raised his head despite the overwhelming pain. When he saw the gun in Giselle's hand, he was shocked, and instantly whipped the gun he had strapped to his waist and fired it at Giselle.
However, when he pulled the trigger, nothing happened. That was when he realized that his gun was a dud—there were no bullets in it at all.
He was still bewildered when Giselle shot him in his thigh once again without second thoughts.
Orin was in so much pain that he remained paralyzed on the ground. His blood poured out of his wounds, and he couldn't get up at all. He stared incredulously at Giselle and shook his head uncontrollably. He couldn't make sense of it at all.
"Why did you… You… Why?" Orin gasped out.
Giselle's heart was still pounding hard. Her gun was still pointed at Orin, but as she reminisced about the times they had spent together the past two months, a complicated mixture of feelings arose, but ultimately, hatred took over.
Hopelessness shone in Orin's usually cold, heartless eyes when he saw that Giselle was about to fire once more. He pleaded, "Please… Don't do this to me. Don't—"
Giselle had initially pointed her gun at his chest, but after meeting his eyes, she had subconsciously moved her gun to his right shoulder.
Another loud bang rang out.
