Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 309

In an annoyed tone, Giselle continued, "When you hit him with a chair at the chairman's office back then, Gideon chose to let the matter go. Why would you go and physically attack him today? You're no different than that deranged dog at the clinic earlier."

Donovan's expression darkened even further. He gripped the steering wheel and continued to put up with her insults.

Instead of reacting to her comments, he sped up the car. He just wanted to get her to the hospital as soon as possible.

"I told you that my relationship with him is none of your business. We're allowed to handle it as we see fit. You have no right to meddle in our affairs," she said.

She added, "Physically assaulting him only makes you look more incompetent and uncouth!"

Upon hearing this, Donovan couldn't help but scoff. He gritted his teeth and couldn't help but drive even faster.

The more he stayed quiet, the more resentful Giselle felt. She turned to look at him and asked, "Let me ask you a question. Did you contact Gideon's ex-girlfriend on purpose?"

Donovan looked even more displeased now. Yet, he still continued to keep his anger in check.

While he was trying to suppress his feelings, he asked in a low voice, "It sounds like you care about that pretty boy a lot. Do you feel resentful because you didn't manage to marry him in the end?"

Overwhelmed by everything that was going on, Giselle couldn't help but recall the hurt he'd caused her in the past. She was feeling even more conflicted than she did before. So, she scoffed and started to say things out of spite.

"You're right. I do care about him. If it wasn't for your dirty tricks, I wouldn't have found out about what happened in the past. We would've already been married by now."

Donavan's breathing began to quicken. His gaze turned cold, and his head began to spin.

Despite how he felt, he didn't get into a fight with Giselle and continued to keep his anger in check. However, the more he tried to suppress his emotions, the worse he felt.
