Just as Giselle was left dizzy and breathless from the kiss, the door to the ward swung open.

At the sound, Donovan immediately let go. Giselle had assumed that it was a nurse or a doctor.

But when she turned, she was startled to see Dorothea standing at the door with Ethan and Grace.

The three of them stood frozen in shock and fury, staring at what they had just walked in on.

Feeling a flash of embarrassment, Giselle forced a smile and awkwardly greeted, "Mrs. Kane Senior, you're here."

You had to hand it to the Kanes—they really cared about Donovan. Despite being incredibly busy with their demanding careers, they still made time to visit him together every day.

"What are you doing here?" Dorothea demanded. This was the first time she saw Giselle in the ward, and she was furious. "Who gave you permission to come in here? Get out at once!"

Before Giselle could respond, Grace cut in sharply.

"Dorothea, don't just let her walk out so easily. We should call the police," she said, her voice brimming with anger. "If we reprimand her like before, she'll brush it off. She's shameless, after all."

She continued, "Look at what she's done. Don nearly lost his life because of her, and now she's sneaking in here trying to seduce him. How is he supposed to recover with her around?"

"Then we should call the police immediately!" Dorothea said, her eyes blazing.

Dorothea now saw Giselle as her mortal enemy. The thought of how Giselle had repeatedly left Donovan at the brink of death made her wish she could tear her to pieces.
