Chapter 53
The car looked both elegant and sporty. The ride was smooth and stable, and the sleek lines along its sides made it even more striking.
Giselle slid into the driver’s seat and adjusted it, thinking this would be just a simple test drive. Zachary settled into the passenger seat, while a sales manager took the back. Once everyone was buckled up, Giselle floored the gas pedal, and the car shot forward like a bullet
Herdriving skills were impressive. Behind the wheel of the sports car, she seemed as wild and tree as a galloping horse. With the gas pedal pressed to the floor, the car accelerated as if it were on a racetrack. The sales manager in the back looked terrified.
Zachary, however, was perfectly calm. He was used to her driving and felt no fear at all. Instead, he kept complimenting her, explaining everything he knew about the cat. Then he asked, “How does the DBs feel?”
Giselle thoroughly enjoyed the drive, and naturally, she had plenty of praise. The car’s performance far exceeded her expectations. She doubted there was another vehicle in the entire town that could match its power. Its acceleration was incredible.
The car handled beautifully, staying firmly on track and responding swiftly to her every movement. Turning the wheel took no effort at all. On top of that, the soundproofing was excellent, shutting out nearly all noise from the outside world.
Compared to the Porsche she used to drive, this was on a whole other level.
When they retumed from the test drive, Zachary saw how satisfied she was and said, “Well, shall we pick this one? Do you like blue?”
“What?” Giselle immediately waved him off. “I was just test–driving it for fun. Let’s check out something else!”
The car cost over 300,000 dollars–far beyond the budget she had set for herself. It was clearly out of her league. All she needed was a simple means of transportation; the DIS was completely unnecessary.
There’s no need to look any further,” Zachary said casually. “This model is in stock because I reserved it six months ago. We can have it by next week, and we’ll registerit under your name.”
