Chapter 65 

No sooner had Giselle parked her car at the manor entrance than a staff member came forward to meet her. 

Adrian Ellison was familiar with most of the Kane family’s important relatives and close friends, but the stunningly beautiful young woman in front of him didn’t ring any bells. Seeing that she had driven in alone, he asked, “Miss, may I ask who you are?” 

“I’m Giselle Holt. I’m a friend of Zachary’s. I’ve been here before. I’m here to return Mrs. Kane Senior’s cat,” she replied, 

Adrian immediately understood and politely led her toward the living room. Once inside, he walked over to the seating area to report to Dorothea. 

“Ms. Holt?” The moment Giselle walked in, Dorothea’s attention was snagged by the cat in her arms, and she quickly rose to meet her. 

Giselle gently opened the carrier and carefully lifted the cat out, handing it to Dorothea herself. “Mrs. Kane Senior, look. She’s fully recovered now and even put on 

little weight 

“Oh my!” 

Dorothea deeply cradled Nini. Seeing the cat so lively and clean, its bright blue eyes sparkling and its mews strong and clear, was overwhelming, and her eyes welled up with emotion. 

Just two weeks ago, this same cat had been on the brink of death, refusing food, drink, or sleep. Several clinics had declared it beyond saving. To see it so healthy and full of life now was like witnessing a miracle. 

Dorothea was overjoyed. She didn’t care about maintaining her usual noble image and expressed her gratitude repeatedly, asking Giselle to sit and rest while she prepared to discuss the matter of payment. 

In that case, Ms. Holt, stay for dinner. We can talk more afterward about Nini’s follow–up care and preventative steps,” Dorothea offered.
