Chapter 445 Breaking Point
Leslie’s POV
A sharp car horn split the night outside, making me frown.
The butler hurried in, his face tense. “The cameras show it’s Kirby’s car at the gate.”
I gave a cold laugh, my tone icy. “Ignore it. From now on, he’s not allowed in.”

I’d seen through Kirby completely. On the surface, he acted dignified, commanding, larger than life. But in the shadows, he relied on cheap tricks.
Today’s mess online – the filth of it was too much to stomach.
—
It wasn’t about feeling sorry for Adler. It was Kirby’s scheming that disgusted me.
The butler nodded respectfully. “Please rest early.”
He backed away, footsteps careful, as if afraid to disturb me.
I stood and went to the window. The night wind slipped in, the estate’s iron gates stark under the moonlight.
Kirby’s headlights still burned, stinging my eyes.
One glance was enough. I turned, closed the curtains.
No reason to lose sleep over that bastard.
Kirby’s POV
The Rogue Pack estate lay silent as a grave. After my horn shattered the stillness, not a sound came from within.
I sat in the car, staring at the iron gates. Relief that I hadn’t woken them mingled with a hollow ache in my chest.
Lance turned toward a lit window. “She was just watching you.”
I was so close
close enough to see the shadow behind the curtain
– yet she felt as distant as
another world.
In that cold night, the truth struck: we were finished. A bitter sadness rose, choking me.
I never closed my eyes. Stubble spread across my jaw by dawn, leaving me ragged, a fallen wolf.

At sunrise, the gates opened. A car rolled out, not stopping, not even glancing my way, as if I didn’t exist.
The Rogue Pack’s message cut deep into my chest.
“They don’t see you,” Lance muttered.
The proud Alpha of Crimson Moon Pack
what couldn’t I have if I wanted it? Yet here I was,
like a beggar, desperate for a smile from my ex–wife.
If word spread, the whole pack would laugh at me.
But I couldn’t leave. My heart clung to one thought: if Leslie gave me a single smile, I’d hand her my life.
Time rushed past. At nine, my phone rang. It was Malach. “Alpha, there’s a morning meeting. The driver went to Bloodrock Estate but didn’t find you. Will you… attend?” His voice was cautious, like stepping on glass.
Staring at the estate, I rasped, “Cancel it. Unless it’s life or death, don’t bother me.”
I hung up, slumping in the seat, drained like never before.
Malach probably thought everything was important. I didn’t care.
I kept waiting. The butler didn’t come to chase me away, but I had no right to step in.
The iron gate stood like a wall, separating me from her.
My fists clenched. The bitterness in me only deepened.
Leslie’s POV
When I woke, I felt refreshed, even took the rare time to put on a face mask as I waited lazily for Carl to set breakfast.
At the table it was just me and Carl. Father had planned to go fishing, but when he heard Kirby had stood at the gate all night, he lost interest and went to the back pond to fish for the house stock instead.
I ate slowly, my appetite surprisingly good.
The butler came in, speaking quietly. “Miss, Kirby is still outside.”
