Her tone was cold as ice, each word sheathed in a blade that tightened something in my chest.
Lance, just as anxious as I was, muttered, “She hasn’t forgiven you.”
I frowned. Her reaction felt off almost like she was deliberately trying to stab at me.
—
“Then you-” I started, testing the waters to ask if she was still angry, but before I could finish, Carl’s voice came from a distance, sharp with anger: “Kirby, who let you in?”
I looked up and saw Carl striding toward us, his displeasure obvious wanted to rush me and beat me senseless.

he looked like he
Shadows of wolves flickered behind him. The Rogue Pack alpha’s hostility felt like needles.
He reached Leslie’s side and glared at me. “Who told you to get that close to my sister?”
I was just straightening up when Leslie took a step back, deliberately widening the distance between us.
Her movement hit me like a stone in the chest.
Carl immediately stepped in front of her, his eyes fierce. “Kirby, you’re the last person welcome here. Leave at once!”
This was the second time Carl had called me out by name.
Lance snorted softly. “Just take it.”
I pressed my lips together, forcing down the heat rising in me. My face tightened as I looked at Leslie.
She gave a cool smile, voice frosty. “Goodbye, Kirby.”
My throat tightened. I wanted to say something but swallowed it down and only nodded. “I’ll come back to see you another time.”
I glanced at Carl; the hostility in his eyes felt like a blade.
I turned and left, my steps heavy. Even the scent of the backyard couldn’t mask the bitterness in my chest.
The iron gates of the Rogue Pack estate closed behind me, as if sealing me out completely.

Leslie’s POV
After Kirby left, I had no patience to entertain Carl’s childish games any longer.
Back in my room, my laptop’s screen glowed; a new email notification sat waiting.
It was Carl- the attachment was the dirt his hacker team had unearthed, what the main pushers had confessed. Everything pointed to someone I hadn’t expected: Slyvana, the Crimson Moon Pack heiress.
I skimmed the files chat logs, screenshots of transfers the evidence was damning, enough to blow the whole thing wide open.
Even Asphodel sounded annoyed. “Again that Crimson Moon bitch? How many times is this now? No sense at all!”
If Slyvana had any sense, she wouldn’t be Slyvana.
I immediately contacted Michael and told him to spread it as widely as possible.
Within a day, the internet erupted.
The trending topic had barely died down over Adler when the new revelation ignited the public again.
A verified influencer tied the whole story together and exposed that Slyvana had paid two hundred thousand to hire online trolls to smear me. He posted the ugly lies she’d concocted along with her chat history and transfer screenshots.
but Leslie is richer
–
The topic shot to number one. The comments were a chorus of outrage: “Money can buy tricks,
who’s really bragging?” “Crimson Moon heiress steals Moon Soul Stones and gambles in casinos – what a joke in the social circle!” “Lucky Leslie is rich and meticulous – ordinary people would be ruined!”
