Everyone went pale with shock. They recognized him this was none other than the legendary Felix Reed.

“Didn’t they say he’d been living in seclusion all these years?”

“Never thought I’d live to see Felix Reed in person!”

Others exchanged glances in amazement.

“How would someone like Felix Reed stick his neck out for Nora?”

“What’s their relationship?”

But Felix ignored them completely. He got out of the car, still holding two packages of painkillers he’d just bought.

His gaze swept coldly over the surrounding bodyguards.

Intimidated by his stare, the group of bodyguards cowered and stepped back, no longer daring to approach.

“Nora!”

Felix scooped me up in his arms.

“How are you? Did they hurt you just now?”

I clutched his collar tightly and weakly shook my head.

“Felix.”

“I want them dead. Don’t let a single one go.”

Felix nodded.

Like a god of death, he surveyed the area before his gaze finally settled on Garrett.

Garrett hadn’t expected Felix to show up. He stood frozen in place, still processing.

“Garrett Blake, you’ve really disappointed me.”

Felix’s eyes were cold as ice.

Garrett’s face went ashen.

“You’re… Mr. Reed?”

He started to approach, but Claire grabbed his arm.

“Garrett, how interesting.”

Claire looked at me with jealousy, which quickly transformed into a gentle smile.

“No wonder sis wanted to divorce you. Looks like she’s found herself a new sugar daddy.”

“Nora, congratulations… Ah!”

Before she could finish, the surrounding bodyguards grabbed her.

“What are you doing?”

Claire was horrified.

“I’m Nora’s sister! Why are you grabbing me?”

“Garrett, make them let me go!”

Garrett panicked where he stood. Though he wanted to help, he was powerless.

He looked at Felix with a pleading expression.

“Mr. Reed, this is all a misunderstanding.”

“Claire is Nora’s sister…”

Felix gently set me down on the soft ground, lowering his head and twisting the pinky ring on his finger.

“Funny, I didn’t know Nora had a sister.”

The scene became incredibly awkward.

Garrett still tried to plead.

“Mr. Reed, Nora is my wife. What’s your relationship with her?”

Jealousy and anger flashed in his eyes.

“How can you two be so close?”

No one answered him.

Felix just waved his hand, having his bodyguards grab the women who had just touched me.

“Whichever hands they used to touch Nora.”

“Chop them off.”

Garrett’s lackeys were instantly terrified, struggling and begging for mercy, but their strength was no match for Felix’s professional bodyguards.

These men hadn’t been roaming the underworld for years for nothing.

“Mr Blake, we were just following your orders! You can’t let them chop off our hands!”

Garrett panicked too. Though he’d hired a few bodyguards for show, he’d never seen anything this brutal.

Garrett looked at me desperately. “Nora, say something!”

“Everyone was just joking around with you. No one actually hurt you.”

“Are you really going to watch these people lose their hands because of you?!”
