Chapter 7
Claire’s eyes filled with tears as she shook her head frantically, her face deathly pale.
“Nora, I was wrong!”
“The baby’s innocent–let it go… Ahhh!!”
The next second, the knife pierced skin.
Claire let out an agonized scream, doubling over in pain.
Her eyes burned with hatred.
“You psycho! You killed my child! Garrett won’t let you get away with this!”
“Garrett, you’ve always loved me, right? Kill Nora right now!!”
Garrett stood there, face ashen, fists clenched tight, but he didn’t move.
His whole body was rigid like a puppet, only able to watch as I sliced open her belly.
“Nora, you’ve lost it!”
Just as he rushed forward, Felix threw a medical report in his face.
“That woman has AIDS.”
“You’ve been kept in the dark this whole time, haven’t you?”
Garrett froze in place, completely stunned. Even his hand holding the test results was shaking.
“What? That’s impossible!”
“She’s clearly a pure, kind woman…”
I burst out laughing.
“A good woman?”
“What good woman sleeps with 30 men in one month? What good woman puts venomous snakes in trunks and causes fatal car crashes?”
“Garrett, you’ve been blinded by stupidity. Open your eyes and take a good look.”

Chapter 7
“See what your precious good woman really is!”
Claire’s pregnant belly was slashed open.
Felix still didn’t spare her.
After four fingers were chopped off, Claire passed out from the pain on the spot.
Felix gave calm instructions:
“Get a doctor here to keep her alive. Don’t let her die.”
But that venomous snake–she planted it herself.
If not for her vicious heart, my mom never would’ve crashed on that road.
Garrett was completely dazed, muttering “impossible” as he pushed through the crowd and ran off. No idea
where he went.
Watching him leave, I just found it funny.
The funniest part was myself.
The day the plane almost crashed, I remembered Garrett’s expression. Remembered the letter he wrote.
Remembered when I confronted him, how matter–of–factly he said:
“Nora, I just realized the person I truly love isn’t you at all.”
“If there’s a next life, please let Claire and me be together.”
So no need to wait for the next life.
