Tyler was still clinging to Fitch’s arm and mumbling nonstop when they dropped him off at home.
Every time Fitch tried to shrug him off, Tyler would latch right back on.
“Athena…”
“I just don’t get it. Why do you keep seeing me as some kind of stand-in? If you like Kerwin so much, why don’t you just go after him? Why not just be with him?”
“So I’m just supposed to let you play me for a fool, huh?”
Fitch was sorely tempted to leave this drunken mess right there on the front steps—what an embarrassment.
When they finally managed to get Tyler inside, he just lay there on the living room couch, staring blankly up at the ceiling.
Fitch told the housekeeper to keep an eye on him and made a quick exit—he had zero interest in babysitting a drunk.
But it hadn’t even been that long before Tyler stumbled up from the couch, grabbed his car keys, and headed out the door.

Athena could hardly believe it when she got the call from the police station. They wanted her to come pick someone up—apparently, Tyler had been caught driving under the influence.
“Ms. Zade? We need you to come collect your friend. Drunk driving is very dangerous,” the officer told her patiently.
“Isn’t there anyone else you can contact?” she asked, pinching the bridge of her nose.
“He asked for you specifically. Said if anyone else came, he wouldn’t go with them.”
Athena let out an exasperated sigh, frustration simmering beneath her skin.
When she finally arrived at the police station, she found Tyler slumped against the wall, fast asleep. For a moment, he looked almost peaceful.
After a brief conversation with the officers and several assurances that this wouldn’t happen again, she walked over and gave his sleeve a tug.
Tyler’s bleary eyes fluttered open, and when he saw her, he looked like he couldn’t quite believe it.
Hadn’t he wished for her so many times—now, he almost thought he was dreaming.
He didn’t dare blink, afraid the vision might vanish if he did.
“Athena?” he whispered, reaching out to pull her close.

The readers' comments on the novel: Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja)
Author, would you story about Ryan settling down and another story on Eric regaining his body and memories back from Patrick, and Eric also settling down as I find it so disheartening for him to have gone through what he went through at the research institute, and I'll like for him to get his "golden boy" life back though, not at the detriment of Ian....
When will the author update to finish Beck's story? What about Dylan and Tyler's love lives? Also, I'll like the author to write on Wilma and Elvis ending up together as she was quite persistent in pursuing him. And Shawn's story, Cornelia Sullivan and Omar Casson. Also, a little write-up on Jeff (Ian's assistant) love life, too. Thanks, author for updating....
When will get update?...
What is wrong that the author has not updated this novel in over a month or is there somewhere else that I can continue reading the novel from chapter 1951 upwards? Do tell, please. Thanks....
