The day the chip was stolen, Sean Lewis’s son, Jordan, threw down the gauntlet on Twitter:
“@Lottie isn’t some genius. She just stole a global knowledge database, turned it into a chip, and implanted it in her brain. With that chip, anyone could become a genius! There’s nothing special about her!”
“I’ve already developed the next-generation chip! Tomorrow at 10 a.m., I’ll demonstrate its power at the Astra R&D Center and show the world who Lottie really is!”
A plane from Avalor touched down on the tarmac.
Outside the airport, it wasn’t just Charlotte’s assistant and security team waiting. A swarm of reporters had gathered, eager for a confrontation.
“Ms. Lee! How do you respond to Mr. Jordan Lewis’s accusations?”
“Is your genius algorithm and research really all from the chip? Isn’t any of it your own ability?”
The questions came fast and sharp. Darren instinctively stepped forward, shielding Charlotte from the barrage.
But Charlotte quietly brushed his arm aside and stepped forward, meeting every camera head-on. Her calm voice rang out, clear and unwavering:
“Everything I have today can stand up to anyone’s scrutiny. Tomorrow at ten, Astra R&D Center. I’ll see you there.”
The next morning.
The lobby of the Astra R&D Center was packed, a throng of journalists and spectators filling every inch of space. Online, the livestream viewership had surged past ten million and was still climbing.
The room was split in two.
On the left: Jordan, his face set in a smug, defiant grin.
