Escape from Mr. Whitman (Emma and Theodore) novel Chapter 362

"That's the son of the tea estate owner," Nita said with a smile. "How did you two end up finding this place, anyway? Did Cathie recommend it? Doesn't seem like her style."

Emma glanced at Larson, then grinned. "My brother found it. He claims he's got a good eye—he never goes for those big commercial brands, always insists on checking out the small, out-of-the-way places."

"Well, then you picked the right spot," Nita replied. "Mr. Marshall truly pours his heart into his tea—it's all about honesty and craftsmanship with him. You'll see for yourselves once you taste it. The only problem is, he's not famous. Everything's done by hand, the old traditional way, including the marketing—so not many people know about it."

As Nita spoke, another car pulled up. When she saw who stepped out, she was momentarily stunned. "What is going on today?" she murmured in disbelief.

Almost everyone was here now...

Three people got out of the car: Cathie, Hanley, and—Theodore.

Emma never would have dreamed she'd run into Theodore here of all places.

Hanley gawked at the assembled group. "Wait, wait—Cathie, tell me this isn't some crazy coincidence?"

But of course it was.

If Cathie had known she'd bump into so many people today, she would never have brought Hanley to her uncle's tea estate, let alone agreed to Hanley bringing Theodore along.

She'd only picked up Hanley from work because she wanted to visit her grandmother—and, if she was honest, check in on Nita. But Hanley insisted on dragging Theodore with them, saying Theo had been in a slump lately and needed to get out of the house.

Cathie wanted to say, "Well, maybe he deserves to feel lousy!" But in the end, she brought Theodore anyway. At least Jared wasn't here—he still had no idea Nita was working at the estate.

"Emma, I swear I had no clue…" Cathie apologized, looking truly embarrassed.

Emma shook her head. "It's fine. We're just here to buy some tea—waiting for your uncle to bring it out."
