“S… Miss Cooper!” Jessica rushed over, wanting to call her by name, but instantly changed her mind seeing Sienna’s cold stare.

Jessica bit her lip, looped her arm through Ernest’s, and shot Sienna a furious glare. “Seriously, aren’t your going way too far? Just because Ernest broke up with you, you had to ruin him like this?” she said.

“Ruin him?” Sienna sneered and said, the corner of her eyes lifted as her gaze swept casually toward Ernest. “Do you really think he, in his current state, is even worth my effort?”

Ernest’s expression darkened in an instant. He glared at Sienna with a dark, brooding look, fists clenching tight. However, Sienna just lazily looked away and didn’t even bother to spare him another glance.

She slipped her hands into her pockets, turned around, and looked at Sophie behind her, who was poking her head out and making faces at Ernest.

Sienna said something to her. Sophie’s eyes lit up instantly. She immediately turned around and trotted off toward the Phantom Bay staff at the finish line, bouncing with excitement.

Soon, she grabbed something and scampered back to Sienna, eagerly presenting it like a treasure. It was a microphone.

When Ernest saw the microphone, his brows twitched. He could vaguely gauge Sienna’s intentions. Just as he was about to stop her, Sienna had already picked up the microphone, coolly raising her brows as her bright, clear eyes locked onto the camera.

“Mr. Grant,” she called out, her voice ringing out cold and clear across Phantom Bay. “It’s time to honor the terms of the Light the Lamp Challenge-the loser’s rules, and… our bet,” she said.

Ernest’s face twitched, the veins on his forehead bulging. ‘Must you put me on blast like this, just to force me to swallow my pride?’ Ernest thought.

He shot Sienna a glare to warn her-enough was enough. Sienna’s expression barely flickered, her voice flat and emotionless when she said, “Mr. Grant, you lost the bet. Pay up.”

Sienna’s expression barely flickered, her voice flat and emotionless when she said, “Mr. Grant, you lost the bet. Please honor it.”

A chilling aura surrounded Ernest. His gaze on Sienna was sharp and cold.

“Exactly, Mr. Grant! Don’t be such a sore loser! If you can’t take the heat, why did you initiate the Light the Lamp Challenge in the first place?” Sophie stuck her hands on her hips and raised her chin with pride. “You lost-now you must play by Phantom Bay’s rules!”

“Come on, hurry up! You, and the rest of you…” Sophie called out and looked toward the camera as if she could see right through it and spot Declan and Cora.

“Declan, Cora, get crawling-right now-on your hands and knees, all the way to where Mr. Grant parked his motorcycle,” she ordered.

“And then, you guys…. perform the loser kneeling ceremony, bowing with each step, shouting, ‘Sophie is my dad. If you make me happy, I might consider ending your punishment early. Got it?” Sophie said.

As soon as she finished speaking, the Phantom Bay staff accurately locked onto Declan and Cira, pinning the two-who had tried to sneak away-right to the ground.

The camera zoomed in on them, and their pale, panic-stricken, trembling faces appeared on the massive screens of Phantom Bay.

“We… We didn’t join the race. What does your Light the Lamp Challenge have to do with us?” Cora cried out, voice shaking. “The losers should be the ones who deserve the punishment, not me!”

“You two are wrapped up in the Light the Lamp Challenge as well. That’s exactly why I took it on,” Sophie said, looking sweet as she twisted her pigtails with her fingers, but her words sent shivers down Declan and the others’ spines.

“I believe you guys can’t handle the consequences if you don’t keep your promise,” she continued.

Sophie was all smug smiles, playing the part of someone who’s only tough because she’s got some serious muscle backing her up. She wasn’t just flexing Phantom Bay’s authority but sending Ernest a message-she had the Brown family backing her up.

Ernest could refuse to honor the bet of the Light the Lamp Challenge if he chose to do so. However, if he did so, walking out of Phantom Bay tonight would be absolutely impossible.

Even if the Grant family patriarch intervened, it wouldn’t change a thing. Ernest had no chance of getting out of here unscathed. Especially if Mason stepped in… The consequences would be even more embarrassing than tonight’s so-called punishment.

Ernest clenched his fists so tight that the veins bulged on his forehead, while his bloodshot eyes blazed with ferocity.

Sienna arched her eyebrow, and her gaze slid toward Jessica, whose face was twisted in fury as she glared at Sienna.

Sienna smirked, voice playful as she said, “If Mr. Grant’s too proud to kneel… Perhaps Miss Fairbank can replace you.”

Jessica’s expression turned livid as she thought in disbelief, ‘Me? Take over Ernest’s punishment? I’ll have a humiliating “loser” tattoo on my arm for Ernest.

‘And kneel in front of tens of thousands, bow with every step, crawl the whole track, and shout ‘Sophie is my dad’ while everyone’s watching?

‘How could I ever show my face again? Sienna is downright vicious! She’s pulling this kind of stunt to mess with me and Ernest, trying to stir up drama and drive a wedge between us!’ Jessica seethed.

“I’ve already provided you with solutions. Whether you adopt it or not, that’s your problem,” Sienna said, her tone laced with sarcasm as she watched Jessica’s expressions change.

‘So much for that ‘true love’ stuff-which, apparently, cracks under pressure,’ Sienna thought, lips curling into a mocking smirk.

Ernest turned his head around to stare at Jessica. “Ernest, I… I…” Jessica stammered. She was still trying to maintain her image as a high-society heiress. If she were humiliated like this, how could she ever show herself in the elite circles of the Imperial Capital again?

She desperately racked her brain for an excuse to cover it up. “That’s enough,” Ernest said through his gritted teeth. “No one substitutes for me. I initiated the Light the Lamp Challenge, and since I lost, I’ll own up and take the punishment.”

He caught onto Sophie’s hint right away. After losing this challenge, he had lost all his say in the matter.

It was better to take the punishment himself than get hauled onto the track and humiliated in front of everyone by the Phantom Bay staff or Mason.

At least if he did it himself, he would walk away with a reputation for being a man who owned up to his
