“Besides, Kagutsuchi is ruthless and will stop at nothing. If I keep hiding and they can’t find me, they’ll probably target the people closest to me instead,” Sienna said.
Sienna pictured the faces of the Cooper family in her mind.
Her eyes darkened, and her slender fingers drummed on the table. “Send more people to secretly watch over the Cooper family. Make sure they’re protected, but keep it low–key.”
The Cooper family’s security was top–tier, and their bodyguards were the cream of the crop.
But when it came to depraved, unpredictable psychos like Retorchi and Kagutsuchi, even the best couldn’t promise absolute safety.
Her family was her absolute line in the sand. She’d never let anything happen to them.
Titan knew that Sienna always seemed icy and distant, and people in the Hollow Dreadlands called her Hades.
But in truth, she was someone who valued loyalty and true bonds above anything else.
She’d once ventured into the Hollow Dreadlands all by herself to gather a rare medicinal herb, just for Zea.
That was one of the reasons they were ready to risk their lives and stick with her no matter what.
“For now, I’ll find somewhere else to stay,” Sienna said after a moment’s thought. “Get the Shadow Squad stationed at the Cooper estate, working shifts 24/7 and keeping it discreet. If there’s even the slightest sign of trouble, report back immediately. Do whatever it takes. My family’s safety comes first, no matter what.”
“Yes, Boss,” Titan replied.
“As for Retorchi and Kagutsuchi…” A cold light flashed through Sienna’s clear eyes, lips pulling into a razor- sharp smile. “Shadow them. Tear apart their web, expose every secret, and dig into every last dirty cent.
“When the chance comes, rip them out by the roots. Make sure they’ll never cause trouble again.”
Titan snapped to attention. “Understood.”
After wrapping everything up, Sienna walked out of the base.
She had to head back to the Cooper estate and figure out how to find an excuse to live outside for a while.
Thinking of her family’s concern for her, Sienna thought this excuse probably needed to be a good one, something her family could accept.
Sienna slipped into the sleek black Maybach.
She checked the dashboard clock–it was barely past nine. Plenty of time.
One hand on the steering wheel, Sienna tapped her phone and called up Gloria. “Hey, Gloria, your design’s all

Gloria had even pulled out the Shadowline Club’s crown jewel, the Shadow, just to help Sienna out.
Since Sienna had promised Gloria she’d design a bike that would blow the Shadow out of the water, she was definitely going to deliver.
Gloria’s voice lit up with excitement. “No way, Sienna, that was lightning fast. You’re the best. We’re all hanging out at the Golden Throne Club right now. Come join us for a drink.”
“Nah, I’m heading home. Can’t let the family catch even a whiff of booze,” Sienna said, ending the call. She spun the wheel and drove off toward the Golden Throne Club.
At the entrance of the Golden Throne Club, the Fairbank family stood awkwardly, blocked by security guards.
Melvin and Hazel were up front, trying to talk their way in, but the guards wouldn’t budge.
Lawrence and Jessica shrank behind Melvin, heads down, wishing the ground would just swallow them up from sheer embarrassment.
After the mess at Phantom Bay, Ernest got played hard by Sienna and ended up short 30 million dollars.
That same day, Ernest snapped at Jessica and dumped the rest of the losses onto the Fairbank family without a second thought.
The Fairbank family was already barely holding it together, teetering on the edge.
Taking on half that debt? Not a chance.
There was no way Jessica was just going to roll over–and nobody in the Fairbank family was either.
But Ernest couldn’t care less.
Melvin got wind that some of the Phantom Bay shareholders were hanging out at the Golden Throne Club tonight.
So he immediately hauled Lawrence and Jessica over, hoping to plead their case and maybe score a little sympathy.
Melvin believed that, after all, he had been wading through Orlathis City’s upper–class circles for so many
years.
He, an elder, was now actively seeking out these younger people to plead.
He figured they’d at least cut him some slack.
But when they got to the Golden Throne Club, the security flat–out barred them from entering.
The lobby manager, extremely annoyed, waved his hand impatiently. “How many times do I have to say it? All

members of your Fairbank family have been blacklisted by the Golden Throne Club! All establishments under the Golden Throne Club will refuse service to the Fairbank family. Please leave immediately!”
Melvin’s face was awkward and strained, but he forced himself to smile and chuckle. “It’s just a minor dispute among the younger generation. Surely there’s no need to let things escalate to this extent?”
As he spoke, he turned to look at Jessica, who was standing behind him.
Jessica was dressed in an elegant, ladylike pink–and–white outfit today, her long hair softly curled and resting over her shoulders. Her delicate and sweet face was framed by flawless makeup.
She was a picture of innocence and charm.
Melvin’s eyes brightened instantly. He quickly guided Jessica forward, nudging her toward the manager. “Jessica, go apologize to Jordan. He’s got a generous heart. I’m sure he’ll forgive any mistakes
mistakes you made
earlier.”
Jessica was jerked forward so fast that her stiletto heels almost slipped out from under her. She nearly wound up tumoring into Jordan’s arms, totally mortified.
Jessica shot a disgusted glare at the guy in front of her, who looked to be pushing forty with his giant beer belly and an oily, bloated face she found revolting.
Jordan saw her reaction, finding this family utterly ridiculous.
‘What do they take me for, the idiot they can sweet–talk into breaking the rules?‘ Jordan sneered in his mind.
He replied with a chilly chuckle. “Being on the blacklist isn’t up to me. So do yourselves a favor and hit the road. Don’t waste my time.”
