Chapter 155
Swaachers
At the same time, dusk had just settled over Orlathis, and the lights outside Yara Bloom’s headquarters started
to flicker on.
Outside the Yara Bloom building, everything felt tense in the thickening night.
In the shadows of an overlooked corner, an old, battered sedan sat quietly, almost melting into the darkness.
When the window rolled down, a few faces appeared–worried, tired, nerves stretched thin.
The group kept their eyes glued to the entrance of the Yara Bloom building.
They scanned every single person coming and going, not daring to blink in case they missed the one they were waiting for.
Nerves taut, not one of them dared to look away–even for a second–afraid they might miss their target at the very moment she appeared.
“Dad, is the info really solid? Is Sienna actually here?” Lawrence asked, sounding pretty impatient.
They’d been staking out this spot for almost five hours now.
But they still hadn’t seen even a shadow of Sienna.
“Absolutely–it’s solid.” Melvin’s eyes were bloodshot, glued to the entrance of Yara Bloom. “I called in favors and shelled out real money to get this scoop. They even sent me photo proof. Sienna went into Yara Bloom HQ, no doubt about it!”
Melvin gazed up at the skyscraper looming in the night, its every line screaming wealth and high fashion, and his feelings were all over the place.
The daughter he’d always brushed off, never really cared about–now she was not only mixing with Orlathis’s most privileged heirs, she could stroll in and out of this world like she owned the place.
After all, Yara Bloom was top–tier on the global stage–a real powerhouse in luxury.
“Bunch of bootlickers!” Hazel hissed from the back seat, her eyes practically spitting fire at the Yara Bloom sign. “Back when the Fairbanks were on top, they bent over backward just to let me pick what I wanted! Now we’re out, and I can’t even step through their front door! That sly fox, Sienna, is definitely stirring up trouble behind my back!”
She watched every glamorous person walking in and out of the building, each one looking like they owned the world.
Meanwhile, she was stuck wearing outdated hand–me–downs.
She thought back to five hours ago, when they’d heard Sienna was at Yara Bloom HQ–they’d dropped everything and rushed over, desperate for a confrontation.

Chapter 155
Just like before, she marched right up to the front desk, acting like she was still queen of the place, demanding the receptionist fetch Sienna for her.
Back then, just stepping into a Yara Bloom store was enough to make every manager treat her with respect- everyone scrambled to please her on the spot.
She never had to ask twice; service was always at her beck and call.
But now, she couldn’t even step inside the main doors at Yara Bloom HQ.
Even the manager who used to gush over her couldn’t care less now–his face was icy, acting like she didn’t exist, no matter how loud she called his name.
He just stood by and let the security guards shove her right out into the street.
Her reputation took a massive hit–she totally lost face in front of everyone.
Back then, getting VIP treatment from Yara Bloom made her a star among the elite socialite circles.
Now, all the status she used to flaunt just turned into pure embarrassment.
“You know damn well the Fairbanks have lost their clout, so what’s the point in blaming Sienna?” Melvin shot Hazel a sharp look. “When you see her, quit acting high and mighty! Do you even realize what kind of shape our family’s in right now?”
Hearing Melvin’s words, Jessica tensed up, her fingers digging into her palms.
She couldn’t help but stare at the massive building–every inch screamed power and privilege. Comparing it to her own predicament only made the sting sharper.
‘I hate this,‘ Jessica brooded, heart twisting with resentment. Then she spoke up, voice trembling, “Dad, do we seriously have to beg her? The way Sienna acted toward us that day… I just can’t stomach it…”
Before Jessica could get the words out, Melvin cut her off, voice laced with irritation, “What else do you expect me to do? If we don’t swallow our pride and ask her, are you going to pull us out of this mess?”
Jessica flinched, shutting her mouth instantly, pride stinging hard as her eyes brimmed with tears.
Seeing Jessica recoil like that, Melvin’s temper flared. “Everyone kept whining that Sienna was a curse–but let’s be real, life for the Fairbank family just kept getting better when she was around! Instro Group and Hopes Investment threw money at us like it was nothing, Yara Bloom rolled out the red carpet every time, and the other big shots? They practically walked on eggshells around me!
“But ever since Sienna left, just look at what a mess the Fairbanks have turned into!”
Talking about this made something suddenly click for Melvin, and his brows knitted tightly.
“Sienna can just stroll into Yara Bloom HQ like she owns the place… What if Yara Bloom only treated us like royalty because of her? All those seasons when they sent over their latest collections and let us pick whatever we wanted–it was really her connections at work? And Instro Group, Hopes Investment… Was it all for her?”

Chapter 155
“How is that even possible?!” Hazel practically screeched, her voice razor–sharp with disbelief. “Sienna grew up in the middle of nowhere- what kind of connections could a hick like her have with an international brand like Yara Bloom? What, do you seriously believe she runs the place?”
Hazel couldn’t wrap her head around it and snapped, “Are you out of your mind, thinking like that? I’m telling you, the only way Sienna’s gotten this far is if some rich old guy’s keeping her! Otherwise, how could a nobody from some backwater ever rub shoulders with Yara Bloom and all those trust–fund brats? She’s been hanging around Yara Bloom HQ all day–who knows which sugar daddy she’s cozying up to right now!”
The more Hazel spoke, the more certain she felt. Her lips curled in disgust. “She’s nothing but bad luck! Haven’t we seen enough over the years? Every single time we cross paths with her, something always goes wrong!”
“Enough!” Melvin snapped, his face contorted with fury as he shot Hazel a death glare–she still hadn’t figured out just how desperate things were for the Fairbanks. “What evil did I commit to get stuck with a fool like you? We’re here to beg for help–to beg Sienna! Is this really your idea of begging?”
Hazel felt a chill crawl down her spine under Melvin’s merciless stare; her face turned ghostly pale as she shrank into herself. “I… I’m just saying it how it is…”
“Bottom line–no matter how Sienna managed to get in with those elite kids, she’s the only hope we’ve got. If she says yes, those big names will actually back us up, and maybe, just maybe, the Fairbank family can claw its way back!” Melvin said in anger.
His face was thunderous, his patience wearing paper–thin. “Whatever’s going on in your head, shove it aside! When we see Sienna, don’t screw this up–use your head, you hear me?” Melvin warned.
His cold, menacing stare crushed every bit of Hazel’s bravado.
Her face was still red and swollen from the humiliation earlier.
She finally shut up, but Jessica couldn’t help feeling bitter inside.
‘What did Dad mean by that…?‘ Jessica wondered, anxiety twisting in her chest. Was he really talking about
