Chapter 64
Chapter 64
Such a supreme man with top-notch looks and a top-notch background….
Ernest had no way to compare with him.
Jessica truly wanted to make this man hers. She even regretted that she had gotten together with Ernest without a second thought, not even being picky about it.
But as soon as she remembered that day at the Golden Throne Club, when Mason descended like a god and stood firmly on Sienna’s side, a wave of bitter unwillingness surged in her heart.
She thought such a wonderful man should belong to her.
Jessica clenched her fingers, her eyes greedy, staring straight at Mason.
Suddenly, she remembered the few photos she had secretly taken earlier, when she saw Sienna pushing a food cart down the corridor that led to the VIP section.
At first, she just wanted to use the photos to mock Sienna later for working as a mere chef. But… now she had a much better idea! An idea that was more vicious and could better achieve her goals.
Luckily, she hadn’t come here today with the intention of sincerely apologizing to the Cooper family.
Before she came, she had taken extra care to dress herself up meticulously.
This was just the opportunity to seduce Mason.
If she could snatch Ernest away from Sienna once, she could snatch Mason too.
As long as she got the chance to win Mason over, she could kick Ernest aside anytime she wanted.
After all, he was the one who betrayed her first, the one who played dead and ignored her when he saw the Cooper family make a move against hers.
Jessica watched Mason step into the lobby of Moon Restaurant.
She quickly scanned the hall and locked her sights on one of the managers. Then she took out her phone and pulled up the photo she had taken earlier.
Before the guards could react, she rushed toward the manager and struck first. “Manager of Moon Restaurant, I want to report one of your staff, Sienna Cooper!”
She raised the phone in her hand, the expression on her face was that of a strong, stubborn, unafraid of power, and tenacious girl.
Ernest loved her innocent appearance the most. Rich men all liked this kind of act.
Sure enough, the moment she shouted, she kept her peripheral vision fixed on Mason.
Hearing her words, Mason stopped in his tracks, and his charming eyes also looked towards her.
Jessica’s heart skipped two beats, her face turning a little shy, and she couldn’t help but smile faintly.
The lobby manager came over quickly, clearly intending to lead her away to the reception room so as not to disturb the other guests. But of course, Jessica couldn’t go. She had to keep performing.
She had to pretend not to notice Mason at all, had to use her purest, bravest, most innocent-little-flower image to completely conquer him.
She said, “Mister, I don’t know how that Sienna got into the VIP section of Moon Restaurant, but her actions were clearly premeditated! I just saw her harassing guests in the VIP section, deliberately knocking things over to get attention!”
She continued as a tenacious, innocent woman, “I want to report Sienna, an employee of Moon Restaurant, for misconduct! Taking advantage of her work, she deliberately seduced guests in the VIP area!”
The surrounding guests all turned their heads to look, drawn by the commotion.
The lobby manager frowned, but remained polite as he spoke. “I’m sorry, but all of Moon Restaurant’s staff are strictly vetted. What you’re describing could never happen. And… we have no staff member by the name of Sienna Cooper.”
Jessica thought, ‘No staff member? Then that means…’
“Then she must have snuck in, trying to hook a rich man!” Jessica acted as though she had just uncovered some enormous scandal, her voice rising involuntarily.
But when she caught a glimpse of Mason about to turn away and leave, she couldn’t keep pretending she didn’t see him.
If Mason really left, who would her little performance be for?
“Mr. Brown, Mr. Brown!” She suddenly acted as if she had just noticed Mason, hurrying after him. “Mr. Brown, do you still remember me?”
She practically had to jog to catch up with Mason. “Mr. Brown, I wasn’t going to say anything, but…”
“Then shut up.” Mason’s voice was indifferent and cold. His slightly lifted eyelids showed a chilling, icy gaze. “No one asked you to spread rumors.”
The expression on Jessica’s face froze for a moment. She hadn’t expected Mason to react this way.
But she gritted her teeth and stayed in character. “But Mr. Brown, I just don’t want all of you to be deceived by Sienna!”
Before Mason could reply, she quickly held up her phone for him to see. “Mr. Brown, I’m not lying to you, really… She was just in the VIP section, getting all handsy with some old man. There’s no way she got in there on her own. That old man must have helped her.”
In other words, Sienna had sold her body to get into Moon Restaurant.
Mason glanced down at the photos on her phone. The girl was wearing a chef’s apron, standing in the VIP hall. Then, a photo of her speaking with an elderly man in a chef’s uniform. And finally, a photo of the two of them leaving together.
Mason’s indifferent eyes slightly lifted, and he looked at Jessica’s face, which was slightly distorted by jealousy, but she tried her best to pretend to be innocent, full of a sense of disharmony.
Suddenly, he chuckled.
Jessica couldn’t understand that look in his eyes.
