Fake Heiress Real Trouble (Sienna) novel Chapter 67

Chapter 67

That one call of “Mason” finally made the Cooper family, who had all their attention on Sienna, reluctantly

shift their focus.

They all looked towards the door in unison.

“Mason?” Rolf was slightly surprised, then quickly waved him over with a warm smile. “How come you’re here? Come, sit down. You came just in time for Sienna’s celebration banquet.”

The Cooper and Brown families had always been on good terms, especially since Rolf and Sherwood once shared life-and-death camaraderie on the battlefield, which was why there had once been an arranged engagement between the two families.

Moreover, Rolf had always been fond of Mason.

While beckoning Mason closer, he suddenly remembered that they hadn’t even held an official family recognition banquet for Sienna yet, and the people in their social circle still didn’t know the Cooper family had found their long-lost daughter. So he hurried to make an introduction.

“Come on, this is……”

“Mr. Rolf Cooper, I know. Sienna is your granddaughter.” Mason smiled politely and greeted everyone one by

one.

He walked calmly to Rolf’s side. “I heard that the Cooper family is holding a family party here, so I came without an invitation. I hope you don’t mind.”

“How could I be upset? I’m overjoyed you came to celebrate my granddaughter!” Rolf asked casually, “So Mason, you’ve known Sienna for a while now?”

Mason hummed and glanced at Sienna as if nothing had happened. His smile gradually deepened. “Speaking of which, I am also half a Cooper family member, so I cannot be absent from the Cooper family’s family party.”

“Half a Cooper family member?” Rolf’s enthusiastic greeting paused, the smile on his face suddenly disappeared, and his eyes became sharp.

He narrowed his eyes. “Kid, what do you mean by that?”

The other members of the Cooper family also glared at Mason warily. The atmosphere suddenly lost its previous warmth. They all wondered what he meant by half a Cooper family member. How dare he covet Sienna?

No matter how exceptional Mason was, he had no right to snatch their treasure away.

A quick glance passed between them, silent understanding flowing instantly.

This was why Mason came uninvited. He wanted to bring up the past, the promise made by the Brown family and the Cooper family back then.

Their gaze carried a hint of hostility.

Mason smiled and said calmly, “Now that both protagonists are here, I think it’s time we bring up the engagement you and my grandfather arranged all those years ago.”

“What engagement? What are you talking about?” Rolf slapped the table first, his beard bristling as he glared. “It’s the modern age. No one believes in arranged marriages anymore! You’re even more old-fashioned than I am!”

“Yes, exactly!” Pansy quickly grabbed her daughter’s hand. “There’s no need for a marriage alliance between the Cooper and Brown families to solidify anything!”

Gerard cleared his throat. “Mason, you must be joking. Our Sienna just came home. She hasn’t even had the chance to truly enjoy her family yet. Whatever our elders said in jest back then can’t be taken seriously.”

Theo pushed up his gold-rimmed glasses, his warm smile carrying an edge of steel. “Mr. Brown, the only thing we want for our little sister is that she can live happily and freely. Her marriage will only ever be her choice. We will never interfere, nor will we let some old engagement bind her.”

Their precious one had just returned. Anyone who wanted to snatch their treasure was an enemy.

The family was incredibly in sync, each speaking in turn with seamless cooperation. They refused to acknowledge that the engagement existed.

They wouldn’t allow Mason to use it to trap their precious girl. Free love was the only way. Forced marriage was absolutely not allowed!

Mason seemed to have already guessed everyone’s reaction. Listening to their words, the smile in his eyes became even more enchanting, aloof, and bewitching.

“You all are right.” He smiled, his gaze burning as it locked on Sienna. “That’s why I came today, not to use the old agreement to force Sienna into anything, but simply to ask what Sienna herself thinks.”

As he spoke, he leaned his body slightly towards Sienna, focused and ardent.

That elegant, piney scent of Amanda once again surrounded Sienna.

Sienna couldn’t reply right away.

No wonder he deliberately used that lingering, sentimental tone to call out “Sienna” outside the booth just now. It was to prepare for this moment.

Sure enough, upon hearing Mason’s intimate address, the Cooper family’s expressions all changed, and they all looked at him with fierce eyes.

They wondered when they met, and how they were that familiar with each other. Anyway, they didn’t allow Mason to address Sienna that intimately.

The Cooper family members all looked at Sienna, their eyes wide, waiting for Sienna to take the initiative to refuse Mason.
