Chapter 75
Amanda’s pupils shook violently.
In that instant, she finally understood. Sienna had known all along that she had drugged that toast.
Sienna had seen through it from the very beginning.
But instead of exposing her outright, Sienna deliberately used their parents’ presence to force her to eat the very breakfast she had laced with drugs.
From start to finish, Sienna had been digging a pit and patiently waiting for Amanda to jump into it. Amanda thought Sienna was too vicious.
Sienna didn’t need to say anything to know exactly what Amanda was thinking just from her expression and
eyes.
Amanda still didn’t think any of this was her fault.
She had put a strong laxative in the toast and eggs. And judging by the amount, she had planned to make Sienna have diarrhea until she was completely dehydrated. She had even doubled the dose.
At this dosage, a person would probably be stuck on the toilet for three days straight.
Even going to the hospital for gastric lavage wouldn’t help much. Amanda would suffer the consequences.
Of course, she had to bear the laxative she put in herself.
Sienna lifted her eyelids, gave Amanda a lazy sideways glance, then smiled. Without another word, she turned and walked away.
“You…” Amanda was so angry that her vision went dark. She stormed forward, wanting to stop Sienna from going to see Mason.
But she had barely taken a single step when a gut-wrenching, rolling pain suddenly tore through her.
It felt as if her internal organs were being twisted into a knot. Her face turned ashen as a powerful urge surged downward.
Amanda instantly clutched her stomach and squeezed her legs together.
“Amanda.” After Sienna left, Pansy frowned and said, “What did Sienna mean just now? What do you mean you made Sophie sick? Did you cause Sophie’s heart disease?”
Amanda’s face was unsightly, and she was sweating profusely from the pain. She stammered, trying to explain, “No, I didn’t… Mom, it’s a misunderstanding…”
She didn’t finish her sentence. She really couldn’t hold it in any longer, and she didn’t care about any of the elegance and grace expected of a high-society lady.
She stumbled and rushed towards the bathroom.
Soon, heart-wrenching wails echoed from the bathroom.
She thoroughly began to “enjoy” the extra dose of laxatives she had carefully prepared for Sienna. She had diarrhea so badly that she felt like she was dying!
Orlathis Hospital.
Sienna and Mason arrived at Sophie’s ward. They pushed the door open and entered.
Miles was sitting by the hospital bed, cutting a freshly peeled apple for the little girl in the bed.
Sienna’s eyes fell on the hospital bed.
The sweet, adorable Sophie was leaning against the headboard, listlessly poking an apple slice with a toothpick. Her long lashes drooped low, and she seemed tired.
But one look at her complexion told Sienna that after a night of rest, plus taking the Heart-Protecting Pill Sienna had given her, Sophie had fully recovered.
Her lack of energy was likely just from being bored in the hospital for too long.
The moment she heard the sound of the door, Sophie’s head shot up. Her eyes lit up like stars when she saw Sienna. “Sienna!”
She flung the covers back and tried to get out of bed. “You really came!”
“Hey! Little girl, don’t move!” Miles nearly dropped the fruit knife as he rushed to hold her down. “You’ve got tubes all over you. If one comes loose, you’ll have to stay here even longer!”
The little girl pushed him hard. “With Sienna here, what’s there to be afraid of?”
Miles sighed. “Miss Cooper can’t be the one pulling you back from the gates of hell every time! Do her a favor and stay put, so she doesn’t have to keep saving you.”
Sophie instantly went quiet.
Ignoring Miles, she turned her sparkling eyes toward Sienna and beamed. “Sienna, I forgot to introduce myself! I’m Sophie. Thank you for saving my life, again and again!”
Her sweet, delicate face was filled with pure, unfiltered joy.
Her bright eyes softened Sienna’s expression without her realizing.
From the first moment she saw this girl, Sienna could sense a vibrant life force radiating from her.
Even long-term illness hadn’t dimmed it.

Seeing Sophie lying obediently in bed with a beaming smile, Sienna walked slowly over. “She’s fine now. You can remove the tubes and have her discharged later.”
Miles widened his eyes. “But Dr. Windrow said that even if all the data is normal, she needs to be observed for a few days, in case…”
“Oh! Sienna said I’m fine, so I must be fine!” As soon as she heard Sienna say this, Sophie instantly became excited, as if she had received a special pardon.
She raised her hand to push Miles away, her face full of excitement. “Sienna is the best! Sienna is the universe’s super invincible, thunderbolt spiral, cool and explosive, awesome divine doctor!”
Miles went speechless. He looked at Sophie, and then at Mason.
Mason nodded.
He then released Sophie and said, “Okay, Sienna is the best. But lie down for me now. I’ll have Dr. Windrow come over and check you out and remove the tubes from your body.”
Now that freedom was in sight, Sophie was suddenly much more obedient. She lay back quietly, then waved Sienna over. “Sienna, come sit here!”
Her bright, lively manner was contagious, and Sienna found herself smiling faintly as she went to sit at the bedside.
Sophie immediately grabbed Sienna’s hand, leaning in close to examine her from head to toe.
