Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 321

“Explain yourself? Don’t give me that nonsense!” Parker Erickson was so furious that he swung his cane at Tyler again. “You’ve completely lost your head over Vivienne Hargrave!”

“Don’t think I don’t know what’s going on. She calls herself a modern, independent woman, some high-end floral designer, but every opportunity she’s gotten is thanks to you.”

“If it weren’t for you and your friends sending business her way, do you think her studio would be thriving? I did some digging—just a year ago, she was barely scraping by, running a tiny flower shop!”

Tyler Erickson kept his head down, too ashamed to answer.

Parker, exasperated, couldn’t even stand to look at him.

“I’ve already called Emily. She’ll be coming over soon,” Parker said, grabbing two documents and shoving them into Tyler’s hands.

Tyler reached out to take them—two contract agreements.

He frowned, confused, and looked at Parker for an explanation.

“The Erickson family would never stoop so low as to withhold what rightfully belongs to Emily.”

Parker’s voice was firm. “She stood by you for seven years, through thick and thin. These things should have been hers from the start.”

“Grandpa!” Tyler caught himself, realizing his tone was too harsh. He tried to keep his emotions in check. “I can’t give them to her.”

“Shameless!” Parker’s cane came down on Tyler again.

But Tyler still refused.

He’d done so much to hurt her—her pain, her tears—they haunted him, playing over and over in his mind.

All of it tormented him, kept him awake at night.

He knew she hated him.

Hated his betrayal, hated how deeply he’d wounded her.

So all he could do was cling to the Dennis family’s assets, keeping a grip on what she wanted, not letting her get too far away.

This way, when everything was finally over, he could explain everything to her.

He knew she’d always wanted a family—a real family with him and their children.
